LongHorn Steakhouse — Restaurant in Fairview Park

So I visited this restaurant twice and I'm going to review it for both occasions in one review. My first experience was horrible. The food was cooked wrong, the service was bad and it made me really angry and disappointed in this restrestaurant. My pics are from the first visit where the restaurant was cluttered with dirty dishes and shows some of the leftover food that was cooked improperly. They didn't even clear our table before we left. Barely got any refills on our drinks and had to flag our server down to order and get a box for leftover food, where I found her chatting with another employee. Really bad experience.

The second time was not much better. I called at 5p to let them know we would be coming in, as we had a fairly large party. I was told that they would not reserve me a table but asked me to call when/if we were coming in, which I did at 7:55 but it did not matter. It took almost an hour to get a table and once we did it took just as long to get our food. We started with ten but two people got irritated about the wait and left. So there were 8 of us. Honestly my steak was cooked wonderfully but I wasn't so lucky with the corn. We didn't get a couple things we ordered until we were about to leave and one steak was actually taken off our bill, due to it being cooked wrong twice. One gal didn't even finish her steak it was so over cooked. Our group was really tired after waiting so long and it made for another uncomfortable evening at this "Steak House". The server was really nice and tried to make up for the mistakes but they had dropped the ball so bad by this point that the evening was not one to remember, even being my friends birthday.

This place reminds me of McDonald's. They try to serve their patrons like a drive through instead of an eat in Diner. I truly feel there is some tension between the cooks and the servers and it's getting taken out on the customers. Management was kind enough to take the one steak off but didn't seem very interested in making sure everyone else was happy with their meals. Our poor server tried to be the best she could but things just didn't work out in her favor. She was definitely way better than the first server I had there. All in all I will not return to this location. The ball has been dropped too many times.

P.S. I ordered the Outlaw Ribeye on both occasions. At least the second one was cooked right, which is why I bumped it up to 3 stars from 1. Same with the service. The atmosphere was hectic and off both times. Horrible communication somewhere, tension amongst...

My sister was visiting from AZ and we were looking for a great steak. I had never been, but she had to one somewhere else. Neither of us will be returning after yesterday. Upon coming in, we stood at the hostess station for a good 10-15 minutes while watching staff walk right passed us, someone in the bar that didn’t acknowledge us and servers as well as the hostess. I walked into the bar and asked if we should seat ourselves and the person behind the bar sharply replied “she (the hostess) would be right with us). There was probably 3 other tables being served so this was not due to being busy. The hostess, which wasn’t friendly nor apologetic for taking so long sat us exactly where we asked not to be seated, right by a table with balloons at it. Then our server came after what felt like an eternity to take our order, by that time we were prepared to order our food but she only took our drink order, mine was iced tea and my sisters was a Bloody Mary. We ended up waiting another 20 or so minutes for our drinks as well as to order. When I asked the server if there was a problem with our drinks she explained the bartender was hard of hearing and didn’t hear the order come through. Which I thought was appalling. If you know someone is disadvantaged, why wouldn’t you follow through to make sure they are aware there’s orders waiting? We ordered two t-bones, baked potatoes, one without sour cream, a side salad with ranch and Brussels. While waiting on the food to come, which also just seemed far too long to wait for as slow as it was on the floor, my sister was freezing. We were sat right under the AC unit vent, so she went to my car to warm up and look for a sweater. She didn’t find one, and by that time she was quivering and teeth chattering so I had to hunt down our server again to ask if we could move or have the AC vent shut off above us. She moved us which was a little better but it was just after we got our food so all of our plates, drinks etc had to be moved too. Somehow my sisters napkin and fork didn’t make it so it was a fiasco trying to get that replaced as well. The entire meal was affected and we decided to just pack up and leave because the experience was so miserable, so again, we had to hunt down our server to do that too. For $30 a steak, I expected the service to be equivalent. That was absolutely awful. And not once were there any attempts at...

I was trying to over look it but I’m seriously disappointed and frustrated during the storm I stopped in 10 mins we were seated in the back along the window out server was a guy bold head said he has been there 30+ yrs it took him 20 mins to offer water drink order took another 15 after water was dropped off , then another 30 mins to order food it took almost 1 hour to receive food I asked for the strawberry and pecan salad no dressing there were no pecans the salad look like the fruit had been sitting all day 2 strawberries plenty mandarin oranges and dressing was poured heavy I asked for nothing but the fruit and lettuce and pecans then my companion food came 30 mins before mine when mine came out the server had dropped my entire meal on the floor only for them to come tell me 20 mins later they were dropped and would be remade after waiting god know how long to be told by management there were no more wings the kitchen had a accident i evolving wings so I ordered something else after another 40 mins I left the table like ok I can not wait any longer I’ve been here about 3 hours they looked at me with a blank face and confused it was a disaster the server never came back to table to offer anything we had to stop other servers for napkins from spilled I won’t even get into my companions food and salad being drenched in dressing. I asked for bread 3 times before I even got it that’s all I was able to have while there, I watch everyone else around us food come out perfectly with no problems smh very disappoint this location...
