Dolce Wraps Mediterranean Grill — Restaurant in Fairview Park

Update:I have been a regular here for almost 6 years now and I'm so dismayed with how I was treated yesterday by their staff yesterday evening around 6.30 p.m.

To be totally honest as soon as I walked in I was actually tempted to walk out because I could tell there was a pain in the butt and picky customer ahead of me about to make a huge order. I felt like she was giving me dirty looks because I was even behind her and she knew she was about to be a "KAREN."

I have worked in service industry and I am aware of these kind of customers and I decide to patiently wait.

There was two girls working and the one girl was finishing up with the other customers while the other girl was handling the pain in the butt customer. I patiently waited and told the girl that was waiting on the pain in the butt customer to go ahead and take her time. I was very aware of the situation that was happening and I was willing to be patient and I WAS for like 15 minutes.

As soon as the other girl finished with the other clients, she completely dismissed me and tried to take an order from the people that were literally in line behind me that had walked in literally 30 seconds prior.

I was so upset to have waited in line almost 15 minutes patiently without ever placing an order just to have the other girl completely dismiss me and try to help the customers behind me that had literally just walked in. The other girl didn't even bother to look at me and smile, she completely dismissed me the entire time that I was there and then friendly smiled at the people behind me and asked them what they wanted and they began to order.

At that point I was so upset because I had patiently waited for so long to even place an order and the other girl knew that I was being patient. Why she didn't tell the other girl to help the person that had patiently been waiting 15 minutes instead of trying to help the people that were behind her that it literally just walked in, it was absolutely beyond me. The other girl never even acknowledged me once, like I was a total ghost in there. This is supposed to be two people working together but she's not even acknowledging the other person in line that has been in line.

What's the point of having a line if you're not going to even recognize your line? At that point you might as well just give out numbers for people to order when they're ready so people are handled in the order they actually walked in.

I think what upset me the most yesterday is that I had a choice between eating at a corporate chain across the street or eating at a small local restaurant that I know the owner Farah and choosing to pay cash for my meal since I would rather support a local business and a local economy that probably needs the revenue more than the local chain across the street.

I was really bummed and pissed off that I had to go across this street and spend my money at an overpriced chain with crappy food because I couldn't even order food at my favorite local independent restaurant.

Farah; Please remind your employees that most of your customers are regulars and that you're still in business after all of these years because of your regulars that support your business and that they have to do better for YOU. I know that this is not the type of treatment you're customers expect and therefore I'm not going to change my rating from 5 stars but at least wanted to leave a review because I knew you would read it and rectify the situation with your employees.

As an owner, I would be fuming to find out that my regulars were treated this way.

Original post: If you like authentic Mediterranean, Greek and Arabic food than you must try this place! The wraps are "off the chain good" and the employees are friendly and the owner is one of those super nice good guys!

They will stop by your table and ask how everything is and offer you to go boxes as well.

They will explain the menu and options available to you too and let you sample sauces!

Dolce Wraps IS my new favorite place. It was very clean, tastefully decorated and smelled amazing when we entered the door. Since we were first time visitors the nice woman taking orders explained to us several of the menu items and showed us examples of what we were asking about. Ordering was easy and I asked about their teas, as they have 4 dispensers with various flavors of brewed tea. The woman at the register highly suggested the Mint tea and after I tasted each of them I agree. It's amazingly refreshing. I actually mixed Mango and Mint and wish I could make it at home it was so fantastic. I had the vegetarian sampler. It came with ample pita bread and had the most amazing hummus I think I've ever tasted. I spoke with a male employee as I re-filled my tea and he was genuine in asking how our food and experience had been. He turned out to be the owner, Faro (sp?). He returned to my table and introduced himself to the others in my party, genuinely pleased that we were there for our first time. Everyone was impressed by the quality, taste, decor as well as the genuine niceness of the staff and owner. WE ALL will be back frequently. Well you have to wait in line for no reason because there are two people who works there and they make it as the order comes in. The food is not really really fresh but it’s decent. The spices are so confusing. Then it come to paying. The girl who was really really rude. Not even smile at you. I asked “How much” she replied with a stoned face”$11.55”. I gave her my card to charge me. And she had no smile on her face. Like she was forced to work there. Next come to wait for your food. Took them 5 minutes to make it ready. After 5 minutes here my food comes to my table. Ok me looking at my food. All I see was just peppers and greens and I order meat. I can barely see couple pieces of meat on my huge plate. And little bit of rice like WTH. I paid for meat not for peppers and salad. They will fill up your plate with peppers and some salad and give you very less meat and little bit of rice. I got so pissed. But they were so busy so I didn’t ask them or returned my order. So my advice make sure if you ordering meat. Ask them to not give you salad or just less salad.
