I visited twice, and wont be back. 1st time there, it took a long time to get our food, and they forgot our order of fries. When I told the owner we didnt get our fries he didnt apologize just said hed get it out for us. I dont understand where the friendly staff reviews are coming from because we didnt experience that. The owner had an attitude I didnt like. While we were eating there was excessive noise coming from the kitchen, owner was slamming plates or something repeatedly into the back wall at the bathroom area. Prices are slightly higher than other pizza shops, and we thought the food was mediocre. There is alot of room for improvement. The reason we wont come back is we stopped in there today (sunday), the hours said closed on sundays yet they were open. We walked in and was told that they are supposed to be closed to day but are open with a limited menu. No pizza, subs, or salads, and offered us a tiny menu of food we could choose from. What is the point of being open if you aren't serving pizza and subs? Horrific business ethnics, what is the owner thinking running a pizza shop and not offering pizza or subs on sundays which is when most folks want pizza and subs? Really angered us and we wont be coming back.
Response to owner: Bruno was the one we dealt with on the 1st visit. 2nd time there (today, Sunday) I did not...
Read moreFirst and last time we will be patronizing this establishment. My son and I stopped there for breakfast this morning. I had a build your own Daisy Duke omelet and he had the John Wayne breakfast wrap. Food was very good, the service was very good, all staff were very polite. What ruined our visit was the obnoxious owner Bruno! For over 10 minutes we were subject to him ( Bruno ) yelling and screaming at his staff at the top of his lungs in a back room of the kitchen area. After I payed my bill I ask to speak to him. I wanted to let him know that the food and service was excellent and that we will not be back because of his a actions. I explained to him very calmly that customers do not want to hear management yelling at staff while they are trying to eat. It makes for a very uncomfortable situation. Bruno didn't take to kindly to my advice and proceeded to tell me that I have no business coming into " His House " and telling him how he should treat his staff. He also told me that he didn't need my business and not to come back. I will grant his wish and definitely never go...
Read moreFirst time, stopped by Bruno Pizzatown USA on Old York, plenty of parking.
Guy behind the counter gave me the run down of the specials and what was offered behind the glass.
I went with a Combo Mini Boli special for $8.50, drink and marinara cup included.
Interior is nice, medium lit with great ambient light from the large windows.
Boli was very hot, they heat it up after you pick one, and the ingredients were good. You could taste each one, like the cheese, sausage, pepperoni, green peppers, onions, and mushrooms.
If you like a "seasoned" pizza I don't think this is for you, such as you enjoy the crust with herbs and all the slices taste the same. Here you can taste the ingredients, not the seasonings if that makes sense.
Careful, the cheese and marinara sauce are piping hot.
Overall, decent food at a decent price.
I hear their pasta bowls are huge and the pizza sandwich looks pretty good. I will try that next time.
I didn't get any but they have the "traditional" Italian...
