The co-owner is a greasy old head with a power trip. We walked over to nicks because we did not want to drive home under the influence of alcohol. They sat us in the back room and the co owner was purposely trying to listen to our conversations which was odd to begin with. He was crouched down in the back room clearly listening to our conversation for over 45 minutes. He then told us we couldn’t purchase any more alcohol when we drank merely a few drinks. He came to the table and interrogated us as if we were criminals? Implying that we were going to drink more and drive home as if we were irresponsible individuals. We were attempting to purchase beers to go because for some reason we were inhibited from drinking more in nicks by this individual. He asked us “did you REALLY walk here?”. Keep in mind this was only 9pm, however we were the last table left in the back room. This lead me to believe that the co owner removed us from the restaurant based solely on the need to clean said back room. After this interaction, we decided to not purchase anything else from this establishment, and we will be taking our business elsewhere from here on out. To conclude my review, I would recommend staying away from this establishment based upon the co owners egregious behavior. Unless you want to go to a restaurant/bar and be personally insulted by someone who is supposed to be in a management position. We live only 3 minutes from nicks and now will never be going back. I hope the real owner is aware of the thousands of dollars in profit that is now lost due to one individuals lack of control in his life, causing him to impose an unnecessary level of control on 4 respectful patrons. I would recommend the bar down the street called dead lightning. This establishment presents a much more professional and...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Nick's Restaurant with my close friend and pilot Judy, and I must say it was an extraordinary culinary experience that deserves nothing less than a five-star review.
From the moment I stepped into Nick's, the warm and inviting ambiance set the stage for an enjoyable evening. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff members making sure every detail was taken care of, Nick himself even stopped at the table!
Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the crab cakes. Without a doubt, Nick's Restaurant boasts the best crab cakes in Pennsylvania. The combination of fresh, succulent crab meat, perfectly seasoned with a blend of spices, and expertly crafted into delectable cakes is unparalleled. Each bite was a burst of flavor that left me craving more.
The attention to detail in the culinary creations at Nick's is truly commendable. It's evident that the chefs take pride in delivering not just a meal, but a memorable experience. The menu offers a variety of options, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients and culinary expertise.
In addition to the outstanding crab cakes, every dish we tried was a testament to Nick's dedication to culinary excellence. The combination of flavors and presentation was nothing short of exceptional.
Nick's Restaurant has undoubtedly become a top choice for me when it comes to dining out. Whether you're a local resident or just passing through (just a few minutes from I83 and CXY), I highly recommend experiencing Nick's. From the warm ambiance to the unparalleled crab cakes, this restaurant has earned its five-star rating with...
Read moreNick's114Cafe was wonderful. It's not a fancy place, as a matter of fact, it's more of a homey place which I love! They have many historical photos of their town decorating their walls. It's a large restaurant, with tables, booths, & a bar. It's centrally located and is handicap accessible. There is also handicap parking. Their staff are hard working, efficient, & very friendly. They have a large menu with appetizers, soups, seafood, steaks, sandwiches, dinners, & dessert. I had a house salad, which was super crisp & fresh. I also had a cup of Maryland vegetable crab soup, which was seasoned perfectly, & was loaded with vegetables & crabmeat. My partner had a Cuban brisket sandwich which he said was delicious. He said it was super moist, & that the mustard sauce was really good. Fries came with his sandwich. He had classic cheesecake for dessert. His son had a T-bone steak with mashed potatoes and said both were delicious. He got a brownie sundae for dessert. It was gone before I knew where it went. The aroma of it was enticing, to say the least. The brownie was homemade The bill was very reasonable. It's a great place for families, couples, singles, & groups. I'm definitely partaking of that brownie sundae the next time I go...
