The Best Sandwiches in Fajardo, Puerto Rico! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you're anywhere near Fajardo or even considering the Luquillo Kioskos, do yourself a massive favor and drive straight to El Kapi Sandwich. This place is a true 5-star gem, and I am so incredibly glad we skipped the usual tourist spots to come here. You will not regret it! Let's talk about the main event: the sandwiches. I ordered "The M.F!" and it's not just a name, it's a challenge! This masterpiece was easily 2-3 pounds of pure deliciousness packed into a sandwich. It's an awesome, must-try experience, but be warned: you are not going to finish it in one sitting! The kids got the Tripletas and absolutely loved them, so it's definitely family-approved. And whatever you do, you HAVE to try their sauces—they take everything to a whole new level. Beyond the incredible food, the staff was amazing. They treated us like family from the moment we walked in, making the whole experience even better. Pro-Tip: Definitely go hungry and save room for dessert! No hay sitio como este en el área este de Puerto Rico. Se lo recomiendo a todo el mundo. I recommend it to everyone, if you’re hungry or not! It’s a small sandwich joint on the side of the road. Very simple. Some barstools and a few tables, nothing complicated. The service is also simple but good. The staff are very friendly and helpful, very down-home atmosphere. They only do what they do best, which is not the case in most restaurants in the area. Sándwiches, wraps and quesadillas. My family tried all the sandwiches. They were so good, we bought a bunch at the end of our trip to eat at the airport and on the plane! It was definitely what we needed! El Kapi is the first place we stop when we get to Fajardo, every year. Even though we are hungry from the plane, we wait for El Kapi and it never disappoints. The sandwiches are Philly Style ( kind of) with deli style meets chopped and grilled, then stuffed into a huge roll with just the right amount on condiments. Just get it “with everything”.
