Used to work at McDonald's when I was a young man how things have changed. There's a lot of inconsistency these days with fast food in general. I think it's the lack of just not wanting to do your job correctly or caring about the product you put out there I guess the paycheck is more important. And the lack of not paying enough money per hour when a job doesn't mean much the product doesn't either. They get the orders wrong a lot in this place and there doesn't seem to be enough people in the back cooking the food wait times are very long. The people that work there seem to want to take more time to talk to each other than do their jobs and some were even on their phones. Food quality is very inconsistent there again no pride seems to be taken when making the food. When I worked at McDonald's back in the '70s there was a strict code of ethics as to how things got done. Everybody took more pride in their job in most cases it was their first job which is always very important. I remember the franchise owner spending a lot of time at our location. His name was Mr Anderson I will never forget him I learned much from this man the importance of my job and not so much a paycheck. I know that this is a long review but maybe somebody from McDonald's upper brass might just read it and come to the conclusion they have some serious issues with their restaurants. Being in a successful small business myself for 42 years my opinion should be worth something so I will give it. They just simply need to get back to what made McDonald's great and they know what that is. After reading many of these reviews it seems like this McDonald's has some serious issues. Corporate needs to come in there and clean house get things back to the way they should be. There seems to be a lack of professionalism from everybody from the top on down especially when I read all these reviews pretty bad. But fast food in general nationwide really in my opinion is in terrible condition. And that goes for all fast food restaurants professionalism is out the window caring about what you do just isn't there anymore and it reflects on the food and the service you get from these types of places. And corporate worries more about the bottom dollar then they do about food quality professionalism and caring about what you do. I ended up giving them an overall 3 stars rating which is not that bad. Because I have to be honest the majority of the people that work there seem to care about their job and do it correctly. And I can see inside from the driver the restaurant seems to be run well it's clean. The major problem lies with the inconsistencies...
Read moreI've had constant problems this particular location. In the morning the service is fine. Any other time of day though, it's bad. The wait in the drive thru is consistently long. Even when there's only 2 or 3 cars there (and I'm one of them), I could be waiting 15 to 20 minutes. One such occasion, I waited 20 minutes for a bacon mcdouble and a classic chicken... 1-2-3 Menu items.... Items that are of the simplest to make and cheapest.
On another occasion, I ordered a double bacon smokehouse combo, I was charged for a double bacon smokehouse combo, and when I got home I was greeted with a single patty.
Another time, I waited a good long while for fries because they said, "They had to cook a new batch." Okay, so I'm expecting fresh hot fries. Instead, I somehow got cold fries.
Another time, after another lengthy wait, the cup of coke given to me was so dilute that it looked like iced tea. You could see the bottom of the cup on the inside. I went inside, calmly asking for a replacement, showing the very light soda. And the the cashier looked at me like I had three heads. Eventually someone else let me get a refill at the indoor machines. Apparently the drive thru machine needing more coke syrup. Which begs the question, how many people that night also got "iced tea" until I said something?
And by the way, these aren't just blue moon problems. These are problems that have come up in maybe the last 4 out of 6 times that I've gone there. Most of the time, as I wait a long time to be helped, I can hear staff members in the back laughing and goofing off. It's a shame because there's always items that McDonald's has that I like and new things I want to try, but the closest place to me is this place which has amateurs operating it. (The next closest place is a bit far for fast food.) And I am not one to complain at the time of service, as I'm not interested in being confrontational with people that are handling my food. But I gotta get this out somewhere. They need to turn themselves around immediately.
Oh and by the way, there's a Burger King down the road that's further from me than the McDonald's. Service there is always quick to the degree I know I can get there and back quicker than McDonald's. The Wendy's near me, which is also much further away than the McDonald's, is similar. Not as fast as BK, but still more reliable than this McDonald's. This McDonald's is the closest thing to me, I like McDonald's food, and yet I resist...
Read morePretty nice I did a deal on the mobile app got a medium Dr pepper, medium fry, and a Big Mac for like $7 which I think is pretty good for a combo. I have been to quite a few different McDonald's and different states and I could tell you they're fast paced usually. Most McDonald's don't listen to the instructions that I put on there. This one I think so half of my instructions which was no ice in my drink and extra salt on the fries. The fries tasted like they had no salt on them, sorry.
But the main reason I wanted to make this review was for the cups they use they're very interesting. I really like how McDonald's makes their cups here. It makes it easy for the workers to make the drink correctly because it has lines showing which drink should have how much ice. But not only does it help the workers remember the sizes for specific drinks but it helps the customers not complain cuz they think they got the wrong size drink. It clearly states two different sizes but the size depends on what drink you got. I just think this is a pretty darn good looking cup.
Lastly, I put four stars on atmosphere because I don't expect fast food workers to smile all the time especially when they're making the orders but it would be nice to see a smile when they hand you their food to at least give off the vibe that you enjoy having customers. I mean they get paid more than I do and I'm a Security Officer For another place. So I wouldn't say it's because they don't get paid enough to flash a smile every once in awhile.
Anyway, Sorry for the long review. Thank you for...
