Currently at music bingo. Waited 30 minutes for our food order for a group of us. We got yelled at by Karen for getting more chairs for our group. We asked for our food order and Karen says "maybe" who the hell says that?! Also they never cleared the dishes from the table from the last group there, one member of our group took the dishes and left them at the bar. Honestly, Karen is terrible server and nasty. How she is still there is beyond me. She's terrible (our group has been going to Music Bingo for YEARS), but tonight is the WORST!
For the owners for the comment: For the years we have been at music bingo, every time we have Karen serve us, it has NEVER been a positive experience. She has always been rude and nasty to us.
For that night when we have been waiting for 30 minutes to order food, both Karen and the new server walked by our table numerous of times and never stopped at our table, even when we tried to flag them down. Some of our group had to go to the bar to get a new drink after flagging them down so much. There were times they were talking behind the bar, they would have eye contact with us and look away. For the chairs, we had a group of 8, would you expect them to stand the entire time (Karen didn't say, she yelled)? As a business, it's your responsibility to take care of your customers. After game 1, 5 of our group of 8 left after game 1. If you consider that type of business practice to be okay, that speaks volumes.
The fact that you apologize but then went against your apology is not sincere. No other business runs the way...
Read moreIt's smoky. It's got neon. They serve Bud and Yeungling. It's got pool tables, neon, big TV's. It can get loud. I would not want to be here during a football game. Nor would I want to get into a political discussion. But I definitely do want to be here for a Phillies game. I definitely want to come in and play shuffleboard on the table by the side that's older than I am.
The regulars have been coming here for decades. My Mom used to come here. Even better, my grandfather used to have his particular seat in the corner, when done with his shift at the mill. He would bristle at all the giant TV's and internet jukebox, but aside from that, not too much has changed.
There are some very respectable dinner specials here, and worth checking out. I've definitely enjoyed a burger, but I am much more interested in the unique things, like stuffed cabbage. They used to keep a super hot mustard at the bar, but I am not sure if that is still there or not.
I like this place before 9 PM, because later means younger, drunker and louder. This is not really anything unusual. The staff can be caught rolling their eyes at this sort of behavior, but they are salty, seasoned vets. To be candid, they're the selling point of the place. Friendly, funny, and down to earth.
There aren't too many places like this left anymore. It's not a chain. Craft beer is present, but grudgingly so. You can smoke. If that bothers you, you're not going to be happy. It's a place from another era that doesn't need to reinvent itself. Enjoy your...
Read moreLocal bar with 1/2 price appetizers from 4-6 Monday-Friday. We ordered chicken tenders, boneless wings, bread sticks and onions rings. The service was quick waitress came over right away and food was quick to come out. The trends were light brown cooked great, I recommend the honey mustard. The bread sticks were warm and soft with just the right amount of salt. The onion rings were good and crisp enough to share, the boneless wings on the other hand were on the hard side. You could taste they were frozen or near freezer burned. I would pass on them next time. No need to complain because we had enough of the others to satisfy us. Beer was $3 50 during happy hour. The waitress was very pleasant and was working alone with a packed room. This place offers a reward program for discounted food at...
