Boy oh boy do I hope you have time to read my story about what Fairless Hills The Max Challenge did to me. Ready here I go.... I been looking around for a new place to workout wasn't sure about going to the gym or something different. I heard of Max Challenge from a business partner that see every 3 to 6 months. Oh oh boy she looked awesome so I ask her what was she doing. She said I started going to Max Challenge in Fairless Hills and explained the 10 week program. I research it on social media a few times and it would pop up on my news feed about that was going on. So now this is where my challenging begins. Challenge #1 Should I should I not being nervous about trying something new. Guess what I submitted my information. Challenge #2 Shannon called me saying she got my info do you have time to talk. After almost 30mins on the phone you would of though we was two girlfriend catching up. So I said ok I will come take the 1 day trail class. Challenge #3 Walking through the door being nervous can I do this. I walked in letting the lady at the desk I'm here for a trail class. She said hi I'm Mary this is Cindy the instructor today. Great customer service 👏 Mary explained a few thing before class begin. Shannon came out of the office and still had the same great attitude. Mary worked with during the class. After class Mary asked did I like it and went through some business details. Still being in my head about can I do this. Challenge #4 YES!! I did it I'm a regular now. I'm starting off my new journey with my new friends (family) striving everyday to make my life better for myself and family. Over 6 months strong with no regrets! Challenge #5 After reading my long story about Max Challenge in Fairless Hills. I'm challenging you to come meet my family. 5am,6am, 915am, 515pm and 630pm. Now one Saturday morning class 8am. Read moreJust finished week 2 of the 10 week challenge. Joel and his team couldn't be more encouraging and helpful. The members as well. All shapes, sizes, ages and abilities come through the door and it's just a really positive atmosphere. I have every back ailment in the book. If I'm having a bad day, the trainers show me how to modify an exercise so I don't injury myself.
The nutrition portion of the program was a huge change for my poor eating habits, but it's completely reasonable eating and I'm not starving a bit. Just healthy, common sense foods.
Although I'm a little tired and sore from the workouts, it's a good sore. Already my back is feeling looser and a little stronger in the mornings. I'm working out with so many legacy success stories, it's hard not to be inspired.
UPDATE: 8 weeks in the book. I feel better than I have in years. I'm 55 years old and think I've at least turned back the clock 10 years on my weight and how I feel during the day. I need to start wearing a belt again. 16 lbs lighter than my first day. I've started jogging (slowly) again in addition to my gym workout. I still have my back issues, but strengthening my core has made a huge difference. My doctor has been telling me for years to strengthen my core, diet and exercise. It's never too late. Read moreI believed that I can do it. When I saw many ladies coming to Max with smile on their faces and going home with smiles on theirs face with a sense of accomplishment that they did it. And I took it up as a challenge that even I can do it How much ever challenging the exercise is I will take 1 step at a time and try to accomplish my goal of losing weight. Initially I was not loosing weight and I was sad. But it did build muscle and toned my body. Then I started to get my confidence back that yes this thing is working. I just need to focus and work hard not focusing on current the results. And later after completing 2 Max 10 week challenges I feel much more confident that yes anything can be achieved if we believe in ourselves and try to focus on long term goals rather than shorter accomplishments. And yes people at Max are warm and welcoming.All of them they are all so good and keep encouraging me that yes u can do it. That makes me to come back here...
