If there was an option for zero stars, that’s what I would give this place. We ordered from Nick’s Pizza & Deli for the first time after receiving a voucher in the mail for a free cheese pizza. We were excited to try a new local spot and thought it was a kind gesture. When we called to place the order around 1 PM on a Friday, the person on the phone sounded rushed and impatient. Before we could even add anything else to the order, he hung up. We had to call back twice just to add wings and ranch, and still weren’t told how much the total would be. When the food arrived, there was no receipt or breakdown of charges. Later, we checked our bank account and were shocked to see we had been charged $33. Confused, my husband called to ask how much the wings were, and the same guy answered with an attitude, saying, “It’s the same price it’s been for years.” When we explained we were new to town and hadn’t checked the menu, he cut my husband off and said the wings were $22, and the rest was tip and delivery. Then he sarcastically said, “Welcome to town,” and hung up. We weren’t being rude to this guy, we just wanted to get a breakdown of the costs. Honestly, the guy on the phone should seriously consider therapy and some basic social skills training. On top of all that, the food wasn’t even good. The pizza was limp and flavorless, and the wings didn’t even taste like barbecue—they were drenched in some weird, unidentifiable sauce that was a sorry excuse for barbecue. This place had the chance to gain loyal customers, but instead, we were met with rudeness, poor service, and subpar food. We won’t be ordering from...
Read moreTheir vegan menu looked great, but the customer service can really use some work. We tried to order 2 bowls of pasta with vegan protein, we asked if the price included everything or if the pasta was extra, and we were told that "whatever it said on the menu was the price." Great! We ordered two bowls with vodka sauce and protein, and the price was roughly $15 more than what it said on the menu. We questioned this before paying, and we were told by someone else that they can't list everything on the menu, so we should really look online. Huh??? We just asked for that kind of clarification before ordering. We said we would pay it but we mentioned again that it was frustrating since we had already asked the person taking our order to confirm the prices, when the cashier told us he would feel more comfortable if we placed our order online so that we could see there were no "smoke and mirrors" in the ordering process. As if we were accusing him of skimming money or something? We simply were frustrated by the lack of transparency. We ended up walking out because they would only let us place an order online and we were pretty fed up at that point.
Anyways, if you do go, I recommend ordering online so you don't have to play guessing games...
Read moreMy family and I have been going to Nick's Pizza for over 10 years. Unfortunately, now that it is under a new ownership, I have had the worst costumer service experience of my live there. When I called to place an order over the phone I asked the person who was taking my order (the new owner as I learned later on) to tell me what the salads were, he told me that he was too busy and did not have time to tell me what the salads were. I was completely shocked by his rudeness and since I live close by I actually walked to Nick's with my 5 and 8 year old kids to talk to the owner. When I go to the restaurant there was absolutely no one in the line and the owner told me again (in front of my children). "I recognize you because you come here all the time, but I do not have time for you ..try another day maybe I will have time for you then". I never write reviews, but I had to write one in this case because I have never experienced such a rude and demeaning treatment anywhere, especially in place that I have been a loyal supporter...
