$40 for a meal that tasted like it came out of a gas station dumpster.
I picked up takeout from Burger Time thinking I was treating myself. What I got instead was one of the most insultingly low-effort meals I’ve ever paid for.
The burger bun was thin and dry like someone toasted cardboard and called it bread. The cheese? not flavorful — just a sad Kraft single slapped on like a joke. Fried pickles? Limp. Flaccid. Tasteless. They had the texture of old lettuce and none of the vinegar bite. Fries were completely forgettable. The shake was the only halfway decent thing, and even that tasted like it was trying to escape the meal it came with.
Let me be very clear: This burger couldn’t outdo a Burger King Whopper made by a hoodlum on house arrest using a lighter and a microwave. I’d have more confidence in a sandwich made during a prison riot.
If you’re going to charge boutique burger prices, you better come with some effort. What I got was lazy, disrespected, and overpriced beyond reason. I didn’t just walk away unsatisfied — I walked away feeling ripped off.
Burger Time: either start actually caring about your food or stop pretending you’re worth more than a fast food coupon. Because this? This was embarrassing.
Avoid. Unless you like disappointment served in...
Read moreSo let me just start off and say that the staff were very good, they were accommodating and friendly still even after I asked for them to remake my burger. However in my opinion food quality just isn't there. I am quite aware that I went to fast food establishment and I don't have extremely high standards for that but... Let me explain. At first I thought it was just because I got one that was made earlier maybe and it just sat for a while so I asked him if he could please make me a fresh one and it still tastes like I was chewing on a piece of cardboard. The consistency was rubbery and dense, due to the overpressed patty, and had zero flavor... And it was noticeably greasier the second time so i am fairly certain that it was made fresh. For this being my first time eating at Burger Time, I definitely will not be going back. Also the atmosphere of this establishment was really worn down and had trash everywhere. I gave it two stars only because I was pleasantly surprised at the Monday special price for a meal of 7 bucks, which is low these days for an entire meal at a fast food restaurant, and the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. Just for reference I got the bigger...
Read moreI've been coming here and the Moorhead location for 25+ years. The last year and change has been a struggle at the Fargo location to say the least, to the point where I will try to drive to Moorhead instead, even though the construction makes it an extra 10 minutes at least.
Today, the guy working the fry station was texting, handling frozen chicken, cooked fries and handed me the incorrect food. He didn't change his gloves once during. Again, he handled his cellphone, handled uncooked chicken AND handled cooked food which he gave me; all with the same gloves. Ignoring the fact he gave me the incorrect amount of food, and the fact the fries were cold (we can physically see the food sitting there when we pull up), he handled his phone, uncooked food and cooked food with the same gloves.
This has been the norm at the fargo location for at least a year. When you go through the drive through, I implore you to watch the staff handle your food. There should be supervisors, managers or at least cameras watching the staff that can be reviewed. You increased prices heavily this year, can you increase quality of...
