Pasteleria Margarita — Restaurant in Farmers Branch

I went in today for the first time after having seen it for many years. I wanted extra special cupcakes rather than what the grocery stores could offer and went in seeking a dozen cupcakes with no advance notice to the bakery. The staff were all very friendly and worked to solve my immediate needs. They had an order ready for a pickup the following day and offered to prepare them for my needs and they would make another order for the next day. Leslie was very kind while she worked with me offering any color of frosting I desired. It took less than 10 minutes to fill my order and the cupcakes looked beautiful with little pearls sprinkled on the 2 different shades of blue frosting . The bakery had a lot of fun decorations which I added to my purchase . Leslie offered to help me out to my car as I walk with difficulty with a cane and despite the incredible heat she carried my cupcakes and other purchases out to my car and helped me get in safely. I then went next door to the post office where I brought the dozen cupcakes and balloons to the clerks - the one who was leaving today for a different postal location. 4 of the clerks and I enjoyed the cupcakes -all of us amazed at the best frosting we had ever had along with the fresh delicious cake in the cupcakes. I will be returning to Pasteleria Margarita quite often now that I know what a friendly place it is with such delicious...

Way too pricey for a simple cake for a quarter sheet. 65 dollars to make a lego brick. Worse, it wasnt even square. It was arched, meaning they couldnt even cut the top off to square it. The buttercream was more for a sugar addict, far more than a standard person could take. And the final piece to this disaster, the cake was so dry, I could not finish a slice. We had to throw it out after the birthday for our 10 year old, who did not even want more than one bite. I support local businesses, but not when they are this bad. Take pride in something you are selling, for way too much, ..or stop altogether. Never going back, hope the money they got...

I was really disappointed with my experience. The cake I received was poorly decorated, looking as if it had been done by someone inexperienced. For over $130, I expected much better quality. To make matters worse, I had clearly ordered a birthday cake for three people, but they gave me a Communion cake instead. When I called to address the issue, rather than taking responsibility, they simply told me to “make sure to read your receipt next time,” placing the blame on me. Unfortunately, because of this there won’t be a next time. Experience was frustrating and not...
