Disappointing Experience with Hot Mac and Cheese for Young Children

Recently, my family and I visited Buddy’s pizza with the intention of enjoying a pleasant meal together. As parents, we ordered a serving of Mac and Cheese for our two-year-old child, expecting a delightful and child-friendly dish. However, our experience quickly turned sour due to an unexpected oversight by the staff.

Upon receiving the Mac and Cheese, we were dismayed to find that it was served PIPING HOT! Despite our best efforts to allow it to cool down, our child's impatience got the best of him. With each attempt to take a bite, he struggled against the scalding heat, resulting in BURNS to his tongue, lips, and a cascade of tears.

While we understand the importance of serving food promptly, especially in a bustling restaurant environment, we were deeply disappointed by the lack of consideration shown by the server. A simple gesture of holding onto the dish until it reached a safe temperature for young children could have prevented this distressing situation.

As parents, the well-being and comfort of our child are paramount, and this experience left us feeling let down by the restaurant's oversight. We hope that in the future, Buddy’s pizza and its staff will prioritize the safety and satisfaction of all diners, especially the youngest members of their clientele.

I stopped for dinner and was quickly seated. This is a large place that is very well kept, and clean. My very friendly server came right over and gave me a menu and took my drink order. I ordered the original Detroit Style Pizza with old world pepperoni and brick cheese.

I must tell you, this pizza lived up to the hype, it was WONDERFUL. The crust is so crunchy and the burnt cheese on the outside edge is to die for… This really is the good stuff.

I will most definitely be back when I am in town.

During my recent visit, I was impressed not only by their famous pizza but also by their delicious lasagna. My server was incredibly friendly and efficient, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.

I opted for the oven-baked cheese lasagna with marinara sauce, and it was an absolute delight. The fresh, wide-ribbon noodles were perfectly cooked and layered with a generous amount of ricotta, brick, and Parmesan cheeses. The marinara sauce was flavorful and complemented the lasagna without overpowering it. The dish arrived piping hot, with a golden, bubbly cheese crust and a sprinkle of fresh parsley. It was served with two warm breadsticks, making it a hearty and satisfying meal.

There was a 20 min wait, although the restaurant wasn't full. The bar area wasn't available for dining either because of the labor shortage.

We didn't mind as it was a beautiful day, so we just hung out outside until our table was ready.

We ordered greek salad, garlic bread, 2 pizzas, and wings. And beer and frozen margaritas.

Their Greek salad is the best I've eaten, and the pizzas were just as delicious as ever. We ordered the Margherita pizza and a build-your-own jalapeno, onion, and mushroom pizza.

But the garluc bread was chewy and almost burnt - no garlic taste per se. And the chicken wings were dry and burned. When asked to replace the wings, we were told the next batch would be the same because the wings they received were different than their usual ones. 😒 🤔 🤷‍♂️.

We didn't ask to replace the garlic bread but canceled the wings.

The drinks were fine. And the chocolate brownie dessert was super delicious. Next time, I'll ask for more hot fudge on it.

The server was friendly and quick and efficient.

Overall, it was an enjoyable dinner. Next time, we'll ask about the wings before we order them.
