Midami Sushi — Restaurant in Farmington Hills

Best sushi in Farmington! My wife and I have been burned a few times by some local Sushi establishments, and we were finally able to find something great that was close to where we live in Midami Sushi.

We've been here twice now. The first time we went I was surprised to find that we were the only ones dining on a Friday night. Judging by the reviews, this seems to be a favorite lunch spot more than dinner, but I encourage everyone in the area to come here between 5 and 9 - these guys deserve the crowd.

We were seated and immediately waited upon. I decided to try their Sushi Burrito, while my wife ordered a few sushi rolls. The food came pretty quickly for a sushi place and was absolutely fresh and delicious. They even gave us some complimentary Edamame!

The second time we went was even better - I finally had a chance to try one of their tempura rolls. I'm not exaggerating when I say that their tempura is the best I've ever had. It's just the right amount of thickness, with a perfectly crispy shell. Amazing.

One more thing to mention - one of the primary characteristics I judge my sushi on is how well the rice sticks together and does not fall apart. I'm happy to report that the rice sticks very nicely and the pieces stay in-tact when lifting them up to eat.

Horrible experience with their online ordering and their rude response. I went through an entire order and paid online. Called the place to add something to my order, after much struggle and back and forth to communicate with this lady who spoke almost no English, she said in short they have no order. She offered no explanation, guidance or offer to help, she was unable to cause she hardly spoke the language. Frustrated I hung up and decided to follow up with my credit card company to reverse the charges. Few hours later, without my permission, they called me quite rudely to argue with me, telling me off and saying they don’t take any responsibilities if I was charged for this order. Not sure if they will delete my info from their system or not which is scary in itself as they are clearly aggressive. This was the worst experience ever. We were the only two people dying in at this time of the hour. Until the Caucasian couple came in. Our waitress never came to our table to ask if we would like anything esle after we placed our order. The only encounter we had with our waitress was when she slapped our menus on the table and placed our order. She literally never came back to ask if we wanted refills on our drinks, napkins or anything else!
