Dairy Queen (Treats and Cakes) — Restaurant in Farmington Hills

I had a really sad experience with a donut shop where I ordered a frozen hot chocolate. It was so terrible and bitter. I didn't want to believe all frozen hot chocolate was awful so when I saw Dairy Queen had it, I immediately Doordashed it. My God, was this good. It's the best of the ice in a slurpee, a shake, and ice cream all together. The flavor was fantastic. Chocolatey, thick, and freezing cold. Luckily I had smoothie straws which helped me get through the thickness. My Mom and I used to come here all the time before she passed. They serve you huge amounts of ice cream for a small price. I had a cake from there for one of my recent birthdays and it was so good that I think the family ate it in one day. I also like that they celebrate the seasonal flavors, although I mostly stick to chocolate. Mom loved vanilla in a cup with sour cherries. Not having air conditioning at home it was one of our favorite places to cool off in the summer. I also love their banana splits. I am not impressed with this DQ at all. Yes, it’s clean, but all they can offer you is ice cream. They don’t have the full DQ menu here. I came here with my family for lunch and they do NOT serve any food at all. They also did not have coke zero, they just have cans of Pepsi to sell you. There are literally 4 tables inside, so I had to take my ice cream home to eat. There also is NO drive thru here at this location.
