I have been going to this subway since I moved to Farmington Hills back in November of last year and I have always had a great experience with the staff and the quality of the sandwiches the staff has made. That all changed last night when my pregnant wife wanted a late night food run from the restaurant. I arrived about 15 minutes from the store closing at 8:45pm to get a sub, but was stopped at the door due to the door being locked. I thought it was a mistake and that the store closed earlier than I thought....Nope. I looked down at the door and it clearly states right on the door that the store is open till 9pm on sundays. Correct me if I am wrong, but I'm pretty sure 8:45pm is before 9:00pm. Well I thought it was pretty ridiculous so I knocked on the door, the guy inside, clearly trying to close early so he could go home early, caught eyes with me and then continued to hide in the back of the store pretending to not see me. So I stayed and knocked on the door for another minute or so cause I was pretty fed up. How long does it take to make a sandwich for a customer?
So after knocking for another minute, the member of the staff finally came out front again, probably realizing that I was not going to go away. He caught eyes with me again and then mouthed to me "We're closed". I pointed down to my watch and then to the door where the time is clearly posted for customers. Then he just shrugged at me, and then continued to close up for the night. I mean really? You can't do the right thing and close the store at the appropriate time when the store is supposed to be closed. He was young. I was young too when I first worked at subway years ago, but I would never in my life do that to a paying customer, especially someone as loyal to your store as I am. Nonetheless, you have lost a customer for good after this event. I drove a couple miles down the street to the nearest subway, got there at 9pm, and even though the store said it was going to close at 9pm, the staff let me in, made me a sandwich, and even gave me a free cookie after explaining what had happened to me at the other store. You should be ashamed of your employee. You should also check your cameras, cause it should all be on tape for you to witness...
Read moreI would give 0 stars if available. I have this week alone attempted to visit this location, with emphasis on attempted, only to find the location closed on 4 separate occasions. Normal hours are posted on the door with no notice as to "reduced hours" or anything otherwise noting different hours of operation. I finally was able to get into the store today only to find they were out of items. I asked to employee if the hours of operation had changed and he said he wasn't from that store but believed they close at 7pm nightly though they didn't have it posted. I will not be back to this location nor will I be recommending this location. I understand that employees are hard to find in this climate but to not have the common courtesy to post any hour changes...
Read moreThe experience at this subway was not terribly impressive - it almost feels like the place is getting ready to go out of business.
They didn’t seem to have any of the items on the signage: Ham and Cheese Melt - “We’re not doing melts yet.” Cracked Pepper and Lime Vickie’s Chips - “If they’re not out there then we don’t have any.” NOTE: The chip section was over half empty. S’mores Cookies - “We don’t have those yet.” WHY IS ALL THIS FOOD THAT YOU DON’T HAVE BEING PROMINENTLY ADVERTISED IN YOUR RESTAURANT?? Fountain Pop Machine - three of the drink flavors were marked as out of order.
The employee was nice and did a good job with what he had to work with, and the sub that I ended up with was good...despite deficiencies I...
