Bunchy's Chicken & Pizza — Restaurant in Farmington

WHAT A PLEASANT INTRODUCTION TO A BUSINESS

So one of the accounts I supervise in Farmington has a Black owned pizza spot called Bunchy's across the street I noticed a couple months ago. I had spoken on trying them to another brotha who was telling me about the Black owned ice cream company in Detroit.

Fast forward to Saturday I finally go there. Soon as I walk in I recognized the brotha making the pizza from the pictures on google maps photos. ...Hey aren't you Bunchy? I asked. ...He laughed and said no with a chuckle. Then I told him I just wanted support a Black business and pizza is my favorite food, so they were on my must check out list. He began to tell my lady and I about his family and how the name came about. Very cool story. ....After that we leave. I grab some drinks. We go back to Bunchy's..... I go in and he tells me they do a random act of kindness every week and he felt I was, so positive coming into his shop. He gave us the pizza on the house. I just win a championship the night before. Now a free pizza just having a pleasant conversation.... Now that was off the chain real talk.

I felt a lil choked up I admit. Felt like good spirits were watching over me lately. I don't get these times much. I'm thankful for any....Nuff about that emotional talk. Let's talk pizza.... The meat flavors were so flavorful. The dough is freshly hand tossed. Not sitting in a pan. The sauce was just right. Folks this spot is on point. This family has been around decades. Not only was the pizza fresh and delicious, the owner went above & beyond! We just experienced a true “pay it forward” My children’s great grandmother wanted to send them a pizza as a special surprise since she lives a good distance from us. Unfortunately it was too late in the evening to have a pizza delivered at the time she called to place the order. She called the following day (today) and the owner told her the order would be free of charge and he would deliver the pizza personally! He was incredibly kind when he arrived and even included cupcakes and bottles of water!! Our grandmother was truly shocked by his generosity.
