This is definitely a solid restaurant worth visiting. It's somewhat hidden in some complex in Farmington but once inside you forget about the exterior. The interior is beautiful. Exposed beams, pipes, that sort of stuff. Very trendy. The have 3 different seating areas - a bar in the front, the main restaurant, and an outside patio. All three areas have their own bars and the patio tables have fire pits in the middle! The staff were all nice and friendly and that always makes for a better experience. Now, let's get to the food. First off, they make great cocktails here. My husband had one of those spicy margaritas. He's gotten those at other places and they're ok. Here it was so good he had 3! My cocktails were pretty good too. You get bread at the table with a rosated red pepper and sun-dried tomato spread. That spread was divine!! The bread was good too but that spread stole the show. The bread basically became the vehicle to get the spread into your mouth, it was that good. For an appetizer we got the piquillo peppers stuffed with lamb. This was slam-yo-mama good!! That's all I have to say. For entrees, my husband got the smoked half chicken with chow chow (vegetable relish) and cornbread. He loved it. Everything tasted great, the chow chow was good, the chicken was tender and so was the cornbread (it's always a rare treat to get cornbread that isn't so dry that it sucks all the moisture out of you). I got the Butcher's Manicotti. Instead of pasta, the cheese mix is stuffed in crepes. It was divine! My only complaints are that it comes with a short rib ragu but there was barely any on the plate and it's topped with arugula but whatever they put on it made it super salty. I'd still get it again though :-) Overall a great restaurant and we will definitely be back!

Agree with some of the others here that the location (inside and out) is beautiful. Lots of great seating options and style packed into an eclectic space, but the food is hit or miss. Waitstaff was great too. But the majority of the food we tried I'd sum up as "standard mediocre" restaurant fair. Akin to what I'd expect out of a descent dinner but with more focus on plating. Interestingly some dishes were fantastic, well seasoned, and unique. For example, the appetizers were great: the "garlic bread" was an interesting focaccia style bread laden with a blue cheese cream and some kind of herb oil; it was bright, savory and well put together. The fried calamari was on point too, great breading that held up, and properly cooked tender squid. But then you get into the mains...overcooked under seasoned salmon on a bed of dried out carrots (Maybe trying to use that coal-fire? but sometimes dry high heat isn't the right move). The butchers board was the biggest let-down, it was a beautiful display of meat cuts and fried chicken when we went. Sadly all were terribly under-seasoned and the chicken was overcooked and dry (even though I think it was thigh meat). The brisket was shockingly bland despite being cooked nicely. It was tender with just enough of the fat rendered out, but utterly tasteless due to lack of salt, seasoning, dry rub...ANYTHING(?). The lack of attention to seasoning made an almost amazing dish suck. Ended up taking it home and dressing it up myself. The fried "Nashville style" chicken was also very nice looking...but disgraces the namesake. It was neither hot, nor juicy. It was overcooked and again...under-seasoned, but the level of crisp on the breading was solid. Saving grace on the butchers board was the incredible pickled cucumbers and slaw. The watermelon had a bit of kick from jalapeños used in the brine and that was dope. I think most of the issues with the food are relatively quick fixes though, so there's definitely hope for this place. But at the moment it's just standard forgettable american-grill food that isn't worth trying.

Shame we had such a terrible experience that was so contrast to the reviews that brought us in! We thought this would be a great brunch spot to catch up with friends and the place looked like it would deliver; sadly we felt our server was rude, antsy, and service was rushed! Starting with trying to rush our drink order, which when you say “I’ll give you guys a couple minutes to look it over and decide.” And come back in under 90 seconds, that’s not enough time… this anxious and rushed service continued they added unnecessary pressure to our dining experience, cutting us off mid sentence and then an attitude as if we were the problem. We could empathize if they were busy but not every table was sat for the entirety of our meal; there was literally no need to even flip our table as it was so slow. But once our orders were in our food just wasn’t very tasty. It looked better than it tasted. And then the constant interpolations! It was hard to enjoy and be settled. We thought our waitress may have been at the end of her shift and needed us to pay or collect her tip but she was there for the remainder while we sat and chatted since they needed to close our ticket. I’d give more stars to maybe a 3 for the food but my party didn’t like a thing. Fries were good. Steak ordered medium was over. Then the pacing back and forth to try to usher us out felt so rude. If people are bored at work or under some busy body management , it’s hard to know but they should know it really hurts their impressions of their business. The restaurant was never sat more than 1/3rd. There was no need for all of that. Shine some cutlery if you’re bored 🤷🏻♂️ really disappointing to think we found a great spot with over 1000 positive reviews only to be met with such lack luster food and an impatient employee. If you choose to go here I hope you have a better experience and service than they gave us!

What just happened? There is surely no Butcher nor Baker on these premises. That was so shockingly bad in every capacity, likely the worst meal/experience I’ve had year-to-date. I’ll preface by stating that I do understand that there are massive staffing shortages in every industry, especially food service, but this was inexcusably bad. We stopped in around 7 on what appeared to be a slow Thursday night, we were seated within about 5 minutes, and proceeded to wait 20+ minutes before mentioning to the hostess that we hadn’t even been greeted by our server yet. (At this point, I should’ve left and stopped at McDonald’s, it would’ve been more satisfying for $98.00 less.) We ordered drinks, baked Brie as an app, a salad and burger as entrees. We received the UNbaked Brie first, comparable to a block of sharp cheddar. Maybe the “Baker” called out? The drinks came out very long after our app was “finished”. The “medium-rare” burger looked fine initially, until I took a bite and realized that the center was near-liquid consistency, gooey, somehow colder than room temperature, literally RAW. Please see pics below. I’m still disgusted just thinking about the bite. The server seemed nice, but would vanish for such a long time, I would nearly forget what he looked like. This gave me time to stare at my uneaten burger and check my pulse to make sure it wasn’t a weird dream. If I still had an appetite and decided to request a cooked burger, I’m convinced I wouldn’t have seen it for at least a few business days. Absolutely no chance I’d return. Amazing in the worst way imaginable

I really really wanted to like this place. The ambiance and environment of the restaurant is GREAT. The front of house staff are also a pleasure, they were friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making your experience a good one. The failure comes in when the actual food is presented. My wife ordered an eggs benedict. The first time it arrives, the eggs are overcooked and not runny whatsoever. To us, this is no biggie, mistakes happen! We inform our server and she immediately puts in for a replacement. A few minutes later, a manager presents the replacement eggs benedict with much apologies. We say np!, eager to eat our brunch. However, the second eggs benedict were overcooked AGAIN. At this point, we decided to get something else that may have a better success rate. So my wife orders the dutch pancakes. When it arrives however, one half of it is so undercooked its a custard. This time the restaurant manager arrives and personally guarantees a properly cooked benedict. It was at this point that i pointed out my medium rare burger was well done. I was planning on putting up with the overcooked burger to just eat! But when not even one dish comes out right, i had to voice a complaint. When our replacement dishes arrive, my wifes eggs benedict are cooked perfectly, however my burger was still well done. I sent it back and called it a day food wise. I can't recommend this place for food, but might be a cool place to grab a couple of drinks.

I have not been here since the pandemic but with warmer weather and as a convenient place for a gathering with a patio we chose this. I was concerned when the person I called there to check on the menu thought (adamantly) that brunch was on Fridays and Saturdays (nope; as usual, Saturdays and Sundays). And though the menu is vague, prime rib is only for dinner. I was also troubled by some negative reviews. NOT my experience at all. The hostess was helpful and friendly (I am disabled and asked about easiest access… she reviewed all my options). Our server was attentive and quite pleasant and my food (gazpacho, filet mignon and German oven potatoes) were all wonderfully prepared and very flavorful! Nothing but positives. My companions enjoyed their meals as well. And again and again!! Have now been several times more! Staff have been consistently attentive and the food continues to be flavorful. Last night we shared the tasty (and interesting) rectangles of garlic bread, the wonderful meatballs and the shrimp appetizer). And just WOW for the lobster gnocchi!(I did not know that gnocchi were around half the carbs of pasta! A new “addiction”!!). And the crème brulée with berries was, as hoped, a great dessert; creamy vanilla custard, such sweet carmelized sugar and plump berries—- just a great finale!
