First off I would like to say I am a dedicated McDonalds customer, spending at least 5 dollars a day at your establishment for breakfast probably 360 days a year for the last ten years since my retirement. That equates to approximately to over $20,000 dollars in just the past 10 years, and have been a dedicated fan for over 30 years, even owning stock in the corporation several times during those years. Today, I stopped into the Farmingon location for lunch and was told I had to order from the new computer board out in the lobby area instead of using a person to place the order. The older lady stated that the owner wanted their customers to use the new system, so no person was available to take my order at the counter. She then insulted my intelligence by stating that all the McDonalds were going to that kind of system of ordering so I needed to get used to it, and refused to take my order in person or get someone to do so. Now, if I wanted to become a Micky D's employee, I'd fill out an application and get a job there, but since I don't wish to work for McDonalds at this time, I feel that I shouldn't have to work off a germ filled touch board to order my food. If that is the only way in the future to place an order at your restaurants then you will lose a very profitable customer in the future, as I expect that there will be a lot of other customers who feel the same. I'm glad at this time that I don't have any stock in the corporation, as (I may be proven wrong) I would think that this new method may just run some of your loyal customer off. As this system is new, I can only provide feedback concerning my individual preferences, but feel it would be a grave disservice to your customers to not at least allow for a choice of order preference, and actually, as the lady at the restaurant stated that they were short handed at the time, (not really a concern of mine) you will lose customers. At least you did for myself, as I left and went down to Hardee's for...
Read moreThe manager there, Caroline, was completely rude and unprofessional. I went through yesterday on my lunch and got two quarter pounders special, when I got our food they were just regular quarter pounders and the fries were sitting out forever so they were soggy and cold. I called this morning to get a replacement, told them i had my receipt and called in. This manager refused to replace my fries stating they technically weren't messed up. She was also super rude to me telling me I should have called last night and didn't even apologize once. I was at work until 11 last night so my last thought getting off would be to call McDonald's. I let it slide but today when I got home with my replaced burgers they were messed up again. I called in again and while talking to Caroline her response to me obviously being angry was "I don't know why youre yelling at me I didn't even make your food." What kind of manager says that? This is ridiculous they constantly mess up my order but it's right by my work so I still go. Every time I call in they hassle me about replacing it even though I have my receipt every time. You guys seriously need to consider getting some different managers that can actually do their...
