Update: I am updating my review, honestly I should have updated this a while ago. I am very impressed with the courtesy of the owner of Texas Roadhouse, Ben. He took the time to call me personally and discuss this issue and offered to make it right to me and my family. He was very personable and it was a great conversation. He has given me faith in Texas Roadhouse again! There may be times when maybe things happen where they don't get it right all the time but they are willing to make it right and that is huge. Thank you Ben for being a very good and involved owner of your restaurant. We will always go to Texas Roadhouse!
Original post: Called in to place a to go order at 5:47pm was told it would be ready in ten to fifteen minutes because all that was in the order was two salads. Drove to the restaurant but never got the original text which says to reply back to this message with the word "here" when you are here and then wait to receive the next message that your order is ready. Again, never got that message. After waiting twenty minutes drove up to the pick up area. One of the female employees came out and asked for the name, I gave it to her and told her that we never got that original text message. She went to go check on it she said. Then about a minute later I got that original message after she went to "check" on it. How coincidental. So we waited another twenty minutes and finally our order was ready. The time on the receipt in our order showed as 6:08 pm. The original order I placed at 5:47pm was never submitted until she "checked" on it at 6:08 pm. So it took over 40 minutes to get two simple salads because our order wasn't submitted correctly, no other reason than that. Not to mention that it seemed like a dumb question for her to ask me when I gave her my name and said I called in an order she asked if it was to go, I kindof just looked at her and said yes, when I really wanted to say no we like to order in the restaurant and then come out to sit in our car at the curb til it's ready and then go back to our table. Of course it's a to go order, why else would I be in the curbside pickup line in my car???? WOW! Never again, unbelievable and incompetent. There's other salads...
Read moreThe atmosphere was very uncomfortable for me. They broke out into choreography out of nowhere & just started clapping and dancing(a big bunch of employees.. at least 20 people... Blocking people into their booths). They were telling everyone to yell "heeeehawww!" Maybe this is some people's idea of fun, but to me it was REALLY overbearing. So I sat quietly and politely feeling really awkward. The waiter was friendly, but also acting like... fake peppy. Like more excited about the food I was ordering than I was. When the food came, I couldn't eat it because the bottom of the plate was so soggy that I couldn't pick the chicken sandwich up to eat it. The fries were also cold and soggy. I was trying to eat it with a fork and knife & by then I was very frustrated. When I tried to explain to the waiter that I just couldn't eat my meal, he started trying to make me feel bad for complaining so I would eat it anyway(that's gaslighting). He was like, "oh I'm sorry to hear you don't like your meal.... Everything's still okay though right??? Good! 👍👍👍" Then he just took off & left me there to eat it anyway. I sat there feeling bad watching everyone else eat. When he came back, he saw I hadn't eaten. He said, "Oh I understand! I get grouchy too when I'm not happy with MY food." I was shocked he called me grouchy & I said something like "I'm grouchy??" And he said, "Well yeah" in a really fake cheerful tone. He just kept acting like I was this mean person for complaining. The manager was kind enough to take the food off the bill in the end. I wish her luck. She handled it very well, but it was just too late. I don't want to go back there again. It was mostly the waiter, the atmosphere was to... 'Honky-tonk bar'...
Read moreAte here with my family for my sisters birthday. It was the worst service I’ve ever had in my entire life, wouldn’t consider coming back at all. Everything from getting our steaks cooked well done when ordered medium well… to finding not 1 but 2 BLONDE Hairs in our food (my family and I all have dark brown/black hair), one was in my moms broccoli & another in my 6 year old nieces Burger sliders(like what if she had eaten that!) …. Not to mention we were greeted until 15 mins after we had been sat, we had another server take our drink order. Then finally our actual server came up to us, he barley checked on us at all, gave us the wrong drinks, when he refilled our drinks (my guess is because he wasn’t the one to take our drinks & greet us at first). We saw one of the hostess’s? Or bussers? Walk by to seat another family & as she was walking them to their table, she turned her head around to talk to them and her hair flung around her shoulder and into their bread rolls as she was talking and walking them to their table … we saw that same person do the same exact thing to another person as we were leaving… we didn’t exactly know how to approach the situation so we kinda just kept an eye on our food the time we were there. The manager came and told us none of their cooks had blonde hair so there was “no way the hair could’ve got into our food”. But my guess is that they do have an “expo” who foresees all the food before it goes out to a table & this Persons hair some how got into the food...
