Ever since this mall added Ulta Beauty, I've had a reason to come back. This city and this mall are missing a good book shop.
The food court and Dillard's are also my other stops. Food court has 2-3 Asian places and a pizza place. There is a beverage stand adjacent to the food court.
I don't go to Fuddruckers, but it's there, so you are aware. Fuddruckers is in sight of the food court, just between Ulta and the movies. The south side of the mall is the most lively. I enjoy the Texas Roadhouse.
Movies: If you're at the mall to see the movies, park on the east side of the mall in case the mall closes while you're still in the theater.
No coffee/tea only place yet! Perhaps a coffee shop in this mall would be a great addition. Typically Starbucks is a good addition, but it would be nice to see other coffee shops here.
Restrooms: The access to the restrooms near the food court is great, as it is just to your left as you enter the food court entrance, but I don't know of any other restroom spots on the north side of the mall where the old Sears was located.
I stopped at the Native-merchandise store and I found some cutesy face masks.
The arts store next to the now-defunct Sears is great. That has been open a long time and I like going there to see what they have.
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Ross, Spencers are all grouped by each other. They have GameStop Maurices, Claires, and other sports merch/apparel stores. They do have jewelry stores for your honey, and the kiosks and pop ups are also worth checking out. My favorite was the freeze-dried snack stand around the holidays--their Skittles, mangoes, and pineapple treats were delish.
P.S. If there are any typical, non-religious bookstores in this New Mexico town as of 2023,...

RECOMMENDATION TO AVOID GOING TO "CELLUTIONS" IN THE ANIMAS VALLEY MALL. TOOK MY CELL PHONE IN FOR REPLACEMENT OF CRACKED SCREEN. NOT ONLY COULD THEY NOT FIX THE SCREEN SND BLAMED IT ON THE CELLPHONE PROVIDER AFTER MESSING WITH MY PHONE FOR AN HOUR, THEY PUT MY ORIGINAL CRACKED SCREEN BACK ON MY PHONE AND LEFT A PORTION OF MY SCREEN A DARKENED COLOR. WHEN I QUESTIONED THE GENTLEMAN ABOUT THE DARK AFFECT ON MY SCREEN THAT WASN'T THERE PRIOR THEIR FAILED ATTEMPT, HIS RESPONSE WAS "YOUR ATTITUDE IS UNACCEPTABLE!"
I WOULD HIGHLY HIGHLY DISCOURAGE ANYONE THAT IS SEEKING RECOMMENDATIONS ON SCREEN REPAIR FROM USING CELLUTIONS.
THIS IS THE CELL PHONE KIOSK IN THE ANIMAS VALLEY MALL. NOT ONLY WILL THEY MESS UP YOUR DEVICE, THEY'LL TREAT YOU HORRIBLY AFTER DOING SO.
Mike, the owner at Screen Savers said he could see exactly what damage Cellutions caused to my device. Mike did fix the screen that needed replaced but he is unable to fix the dim affect my phone has that was caused...

Yesterday when I was at the mall at about 7pm on Saturday, the first store I walked into (Spencer’s) kicked me out because I asked a question. So me and my friend walked into Spencer’s and seen a lady who looked familiar. We walked up to the lady in question, wondering if she was the lady we was thinking about (mind you she works as a lunch aide at my school) and we asked her, “do you work at ..?” (I’m not saying my school because I do not like to disclose that info) and she said “yes I do, you guys can get out of my store.” With a big cocky smirk on her face. Which is so confusing because we just asked a question so I really don’t get why she kicked us out, so we left and then came back about 20-30 minutes later, and a guy at the front (assuming he’s the manager) he said “you guys do not have to worry about coming in today, your kicked out” like I seriously don’t get why were kicked out over a simple question...
