The food here is fantastic, and I get take-out from here more often that most restaurants of any type. I have noticed that when the vegetables are locally out of season, they are not quite as good, but in season? So good. The meat quality is always good, and the flavors are good with nothing that I've tried having an overpowering seasoning. The salt crispy chicken (or tofu) may be a good option for picky eaters, keeping things simple yet still bringing the flavor.
The one thing I feel like they could do better is one of their small take-out containers seems to melt slightly (losing its shape, not anything dramatic that harms the food) by the time I get it to the house, but given that you have to order specific items for take-out for that to happen, I don't feel it's worth a star reduction.
