Ordered a chicken fajita chipolte and a regular chicken fajita meal with my girlfriend, i am alergic to shrimp and my girlfriend is highly alergic to seafood and had a allergic reaction to the food that cause her to not be ablr to eat her food either just like me, we drank our drinks and asked the server if the food was cross contaminated(cooked on same grill as the regular food ) and shrimp cooked on same grill, he said yes they was cooked on same grill without being cleaned, but we could tell the owner when we left and he would take care of it and not charge us cause we couldnt eat the food. When i asked the owner at check out, he said he wasnt gonna take care of both only one and then they started a huge argument inside of the store with us , the fat server even grabbed his junk and told me if i didnt want to pay for the food i could suck his junk for the meal and that is grosa and totally unacceptable, as a veteran of the armed forces ive been many place and never have i or my girlfriend been treated with so much disrespect in one place before. I had to give this place a one star but i really wanted to give it zero stars , i told them i was going to call police and thats when they told me they would take care of it. My best advice is DO NOT GO...
Read moreI've been to a lot of Mexican restaurants up and down the east coast, but this establishment was the best I've been to! I ordered the Texas fajitas over rice, the cheese dip with chorizo, and their happy hour margarita. The vegetables were fresh! The dip was on point! The margarita hit the spot! But something else caught my attention while I was sitting to enjoy my meal...they are a part of the community! Example: There was a young man that walked in asking for a bag of ice because a student, from the karate studio next door, was hurt. The manager didn't hesitate to run to the back and grab a rather large size bag of ice to give him. Then, there are people that came in that acted like they were family to everyone that worked at the restaurant. Just to name a couple of things I noticed while I was there! Lol I have traveled the country for work and never been to restaurant establishment like this! If you want a good Mexican restaurant that has a warm, family atmosphere and GREAT food, go to El Mezcal! You'll leave with a belly full of good food and a smile...
Read moreI live in the area & always pass by this place but had never tried it as we have a “favorite Mexican restaurant” on the north side of town. Last night it was late & we hadn’t eaten so we decided to try it, BIG MISTAKE! I ordered steak fajitas & my husband got the taco salad with beef, we’ll my steak was SPOILED, like really spoiled! His beef tasted as if it was going bad as well & both had a very “off” color to them, (beef shouldn’t have a grey/white color when cooked). Once we realized this it took literally yelling & waving for more than 10 minuets across the room to our waitress who was eating to get her attention, then she simply said “oh I’m sorry” grabbed our plates & walked to the kitchen, told someone back there who then brought our check while she went back to finish eating! It’s a shame because this is so close & our large family loves Mexican food & we eat out several times per week, I guess we will just continue to drive 45minutes to our...
