The good? The Karaage was well executed and tasted amazing. THE BAD? Literally everything else. It fell flat. It was flavorless and just fell flat. We did the teppanyaki style chicken, steak, veggies, rice, my partner had the fried egg, and I opted for the noodle. Be advised that everything is a la carte, and I do mean everything. Every white sauce, the teriyaki sauce... everything except the soy sauce packets is a la carte. The steak is not a tender cut... We asked for medium well. It came to our table tough as raw hide, so we definitely didn't eat that. The rice was cold, it really was cold and sticky.
The chicken was okay, tasted as teriyaki chicken should. The noodles, to which I must admit, I was the most excited for, since they're made fresh and cut to order, were inedible. I imagine to keep them from sticking, they're likely tossed in some type of starch for ease of cooking and to get them out quickly. I think mine may have had too much of the starch on them, rendering them gummy and pasty and not to boil them in any salt, just made for a gummy, pasty, flavorless mess.
Anywho, I will say that perhaps the hibachi style food is outside of their wheelhouse. We're not ramen people, but there seemed to be ALOT of people coming in for ramen, so maybe that's their strong suit, either way we spent nearly $70, and left most of our food on the table, on the plates. We felt cheated, and we were starving once we left. I doubt I'd return.
Lastly, and perhaps the part that bothered me the absolute most, was that the FOH struggled to keep the eating area clean between guests. I had to ask the lady if she would wipe down the table to clear it from the previous diner's debris. She seemed almost irritated and came with a pseudo sour rag and wiped only half of the table that my partner and I were occupying. The other half of the table still had crumbs and stickiness on it, and she walked off as if cleaning tables fell outside of her job description. That was wild. That probably pissed me off the most. They have high reviews, and reviews are entirely subjective, but this is an honest assessment of...

What we ordered(I wanted to try a little bit of everything, don’t judge lol): -Chicken Teppan Bowl -Salmon Onigiri -Takoyaki -Beef spring rolls -Spicy pork gyoza -homemade lemonade -sweet tea -Chicken Curry(got it to go so I could eat it later so haven’t tried it yet but almost everyone who was in there had curry on their table so it must be good!)
Everything was so yummy and the owner is such a sweet guy! My favorite was the gyoza and onigiri and my son who is a picky eater loved the chicken teppan rice bowl and homemade lemonade. My takoyaki was slightly underdone and he recognized it immediately without me having to say anything(he came over to check on us and noticed) and insisted on bringing us out a fresh one that was cooked perfectly. The homemade lemonade was so refreshing and the sweet tea had just the right amount of diabeetus(if you don’t get it just keep it moving lol) in it. I overheard him say he was short handed because a staff member didn’t come in today but he was handling taking orders, cooking, and bussing tables with ease! Good food, good prices, and good customer service.
Small note for anyone visiting: please clean up after yourself, especially with this being a small business. I saw a table that was left terribly dirty, rice and sauce all over the floor and table, dishes not stacked up and trash just left carelessly despite a trash can being near the table. Unfortunately the owner hadn’t had time to come clean it up yet because there was a steady stream of customers who...
