I got the chicken fried steak. The same dinner I got on Dixon Street. The one on Dixon Street was so excellent which is why I thought this one's closer to my new place I'll just go by here and get the same meal. I can assure you it was not the experience .
I got my meal fairly quick so I figured they cooked it fresh but the meat was not very warm the gravy wasn't very warm very small amount of gravy. I asked for an extra side of gravy because with esophagus issues meat doesn't go down without it. She brought me the tiniest little container I've ever seen probably smaller than you would put ketchup in for add. 69cents . And I ask if I could buy a side of full side of gravy. I'm not sure how much that one was I'll have to look at my receipt.
The broccoli salad which I normally really love was warm. This is a dish that only really taste good cold and it just didn't taste fresh. Maybe it was made yesterday or so. The bottom of the broccoli was a little softer and Wilty instead of crunchy like the top.
The topped potatoes with cheese and jalapeños was fine. It was warmer than the rest of the food.
They have tall skinny margaritas for just 250 at half to happy hour. $2.50 I got the pomegranate margarita. I'm sure people will love these. Full of flavor but it was just way too sweet for me. They don't want this old lady killing out with a Glucose issue in the middle of their floor. I decided to have two sips and stop.
I don't wanna give up on this place I will give it another try. It was happy hour around three 330 I didn't think they would be crowded or too busy. And they weren't as far as people eating just the bar part was full .
Since it is close to my house I will be getting it another try. I would like for it to be a regular place for me to get meals. Maybe to go because it's a little loud for this old lady. I know I sound like I'm 90 but I'm 55 and got where I prefer much softer music.
This is a kind of place that great for people...
Read moreLet me first say that normally I love JJ's. However, the most recent experience I had with them left much to be desired. Despite the fact that we are in a pandemic and JJ's promised that mask wearing is required and physical distancing/limited occupation would be happening in their restaurants, I was honestly taken aback at how this was absolutely NOT the case. Not only were very few people wearing masks (patrons who were NOT eating!) the staff that were wearing masks were both wearing them incorrectly (what is the point if it's below your nose?!) and would PULL DOWN THEIR MASKS to talk to patrons and other employees alike. Totally defeats the purpose! Patrons were at least seated in every other booth, but the tables were not at all distanced from each other and were less than a forearm from each other, and each table was occupied. I was appalled to see this at one of my favorite places to eat. On top of those distressing issues, my order that I was told would take about 20 minutes turned into almost an hour (50 minutes), part of which I spent sitting at the bar because I was told it would be right out (it wasn't), and part of it sitting in my vehicle with my children (several rows away, because the "to-go/pick-up" spots were filled with vehicles... whose owners were eating inside). I get home less than 10 minutes later and our food is cold. Like, not even lukewarm, it was COLD! And this, after being told that my order had "just come up" by the woman who handed it off to me. I was also charged for the one kids meal I ordered, which is supposed to always be free. No apologies for the wait or anything, and by that time I was DONE (especially after listening to two children bicker while sitting in the car for 50 minutes!) It was legit the worst experience - and the worst food, honestly! I was so disappointed! - that I've ever had from JJ's. I hope this is not an indication of things to come for...
Read moreMost likely will not be back. My server definitely threw away my car keys prior to me leaving the restaurant (i had went to the restroom) people were still at the table socializing. I spoke with Kelsey the manager. she had advised me it has been tossed on accident while clearing items from the table and it was in garbage compressor. She stated i am more than welcomed to go look for it myself. She was rude and showed no sympathy for the mistake. Not one attempted was made to help me look for my keys or compensate for them.I had to request someone above both in house managers. I then spoke with the district manager whom agreed they were at fault and they should’ve assisted searching. They only paid for half of my keys expense. It was estimated at a little over $800 With the towes included (A tow to get my car and i home that night, I don’t live in Fayetteville ) and (second to get my car to the dealership for my new key to be programmed to the car). They paid $301 and some change just for key replacement with tows excluded. When i reached out about half of the towing expenses, they went mia. They are very careless and do not genuinely care for their customers. The fact that i went to eat and basically left with at bill over $800 and I didn’t even get customer service worth that???? im VERY disappointed. I am appreciate for what portion i did recieve, however it was an honest mistake made by YOUR establishment every cent should have been taken care of.. Anywayssss officiallyyyy excited they are building a Walk-Ons down the street, bringing new energy to weddington! Louisiana food with a nice bar, great service, and great food? I...
