We got 5 drinks and 2 macarons Thank you for the option of Lactaid/lactose-friendly drinks. The red bean wow was good, but get it in a large size because the ice, boba, and red bean will take up the space of liquid. You may want to ask for a spoon just to make it easier to grab the rest of the toppings in the end.
Taro is a common boba flavor, so that was good with the pudding.
Another common flavor would be honeydew that my kids like, but I don't think the franchise has that flavor. Instead they got the oreo slush, Pina colada slush, and strawberry slush. The best thing Kung-fu Tea has is the smaller sizes for kids and its a bit cheaper, so if they decide they don't want to finish it, the cost isn't so bad and the waste of product isn't the worst either.
The 2 macarons, coconut and espresso were good. We favored the coconut and may try a different one to replace the espresso.
It get crowded on the weekends, which we didn't realize since we go on a weekday if we don't want to make a drive to Queen Bee.
Don't bank on staying in there to kill time if you want to enjoy your drink and play a game or two. The games are not complete (so much for the sign there that's says to handle the games with care.) A quick trip to 5 below can instantly replace those games.
I know for a fact in all boba places, there are people who would like to try different flavors or are not sure which one they want, since it's a franchise and flavors and toppings can change on a day by day basis due to the crowd/inventory, I'm sure that's why it brings in customers as well. But that doesn't mean the cashiers need to stare you down but ultimately not be fully attentive when you order. This girl was probably either at the cash register all day, maybe the end of her shift, maybe they don't review drinks after it's said, or she got overwhelmed with the amount we ordered at once, but it seemed like she didn't really want to hear us. I did ask for a large for my drink but I was the first one to order and didn't catch that she put it down for a small on her little screen after I had ordered for my...
Read moreiâve been to this boba shop twice now, and both experiences have been really disappointing due to the rude and unfriendly service. the first time i went in was on a saturday, and the guy who took my order just stared at me the whole time. there was no greeting, no smile, no customer service at all. it felt like he didnât want to be there, and honestly, it made me uncomfortable.
then today, i decided to give it another try, but it was even worse. there was a girl with red hair and glasses, and when i walked in, she was on her phone texting. she didnât greet me, didnât say âhi,â âhow are you,â or anything youâd expect in a customer service setting. i had to just start saying my order because she didnât bother to engage at all. after i gave my first order, she finally spoke and just said âanything elseâ with a nasty attitude.
to make matters worse, the seal on my cup wasnât even sealed properly, so it spilled all over me. this was the final straw for me.
overall, her attitude was really bad, and i felt like she couldnât care less about her job or the customers. if this is how itâs going to be every time i come in, they really need to consider hiring a new team because this is horrible customer service. no one should feel unwelcome when theyâre just trying to...
Read moreDisappointing. I've gone to this location three times. The first time was the best - I ordered the cocoa cream wow and was impressed. But the last two times I've come have been less than amazing. They've been out of brown sugar for maybe 2 months at this point, so obviously I couldn't get the drink I was hoping for. And the cronch is discontinued. How are you supposed to run a store when half the menu has been unavailable for weeks on end? The staff were friendly about it, no complaints there.
I got the chai with honey boba. It was fine I guess, but tasted very watered down. If I hadn't known it was chai I don't think I would've tasted it over the milk. This time I got a coconut tea, and it was supposed to come with coffee jelly, but after I paid for my order I was informed that it isn't even carried anymore. The coconut tea was decent, the red bean topping tasted fine, but I think it was too sweet. It just left me nauseated after drinking it.
Maybe if the brown sugar is ever restocked, or half the menu wasn't discontinued/unavailable, I would give it...
