Review: 5 stars - A Culinary Opera of Epic Proportions
From the moment we crossed the threshold of this establishment, it was clear: we were no longer in the mundane world. We had entered a sacred hall where flavor reigns supreme and hospitality is an ancient, honored art.
The staff â oh, the staff! They spoke to us like old friends reunited after war. They even allowed me to taste the broths beforehand, a privilege I accepted with the solemnity of a knight receiving his sword. Each broth was a potion, an elixir brewed by wizards who clearly trained atop misty mountains.
And then â the ramen. Ramen! The cuisine of the gods, crafted with the care of celestial hands. One bite, and I was no longer bound to this earth. It was as if the sweet nectar of Sandmanâs spell flooded my soul, whispering lullabies in ancient tongues. When the sriracha hit, it struck me like a rogue wave in a forgotten sea â I nearly leapt onto the table, arms outstretched, ready to shout âEXIT LIGHT!â like a bard mid-battle cry.
As if that werenât enough, the milk tea arrived in goblets so grand, I half-expected them to shimmer under the weight of prophecy. Drinking it was like suckling from the teet of a cosmic cow â an experience so pure, so primal, it unlocked memories of past lives and secret worlds.
In short: this was not a meal. This was a journey. A...
Read moreThey are working on a limited menu because they just opened, but canât call it too limited because there were still so many choices⊠ordered the Gyoza and Special Combo Ramen with shoyu (soy broth). The friend I was with ordered the shrimp tempura curry⊠the gyoza was fantastic. Flavorful and the ponzu sauce was great. My ramen was top notch! Everything was perfectly cooked. The fried onions on top nice and crispy, pork was tender and fell apart in the bowl, the broth I could drink on its own. My friend loved her curry and wanted to lick her plate to get all the curry sauce! Service was amazing. They were all so attentive and nice. Easily answered questions and never felt like we were bothering or sitting too long. The place is on the smaller side but plenty of space and you can sit at the ramen bar if you want instead of a table. If this is what they are giving with their soft opening I can only imagine when they are fully up and running. I canât wait...
Read morePROS: the staff is genuinely kind and caring our food was hot the wait was minimal for everything the overall quality of the food was much better compared to some places in the area, but not as great as a few not much further away
CONS: the area is very small. If you sit, you may be bumping elbows with someone else during your dinner the ramen was lacking in flavor. It was spicy but did not have much more than that. the food is also lacking in authenticity and was fused with something else⊠maybe Latin? For $16.50, Iâd argue it was a bit overpriced, especially if you donât get more than 2 small slices of chashu and a handful of noodles.
Overall: Iâd give it a 3.5/5 stars or 7/10, only because the foodâs inadequacies (for the price). The waitress was incredible, but I probably wouldnât come back to this specific ramen spot with the other options...
