Erased my previous review, and I'm explaining why.
Tonight, December 30th, 2023, my husband and I went to "Our favorite" Chinese take-out for dinner. Now, mind you, we have NEVER experienced what we experienced tonight, so my new review took some stars away from what I left previously.
I am absolutely disappointed with how the lady upfront handled our order, that I'm confused and a flabbergasted. We have been coming to this establishment for YEARS and to be treated the way she treated my husband over an order THAT NEVER CHANGES, that we no longer refer to this place as "Our favorite" anymore!!! This lady has no care about herself or the customers by not taking my husband's order and upsetting him so bad that I had to call it in for him to pick up is ridiculous! Now, yes, we could've gone somewhere else, but we like the food here. I don't know if she was just having a bad night, or just genuinely didn't care but, throwing my husband's card and receipt at him and shoving the bag of food in his hands was absolutely uncalled for. This lady needs Jesus! I have said a prayer for her and the rest of this establishment because no paying customer should EVER be treated like this! You guys have lost a longtime customer by this one act of ugliness. I'm so disappointed. This one act will bring dishonor to your entire...
Read moreIf you're from Fayetteville it's probably 3/5 the area really just had a paucity of decent Chinese restaurants... Looks almost identical to China 1 for those who have been to that one. While true they didn't forget our Moo Shu Pork like China 1 did (admittedlt partially my fault), the positive things I can say about the food end there. For some reason the Loo Mein is filled with huge, dry, noodles. Very little else in the dish, yeah some meat, but no veggies, pretty disappointing. The Broccoli in Garlic Sauce, was another disappointment. It was marked with their version of a spicy pepper on the menu, yet was devoid of any spiciness. Lastly, back to the Moo Shu Pork, it was, unexpectedly dark with a flavor that was off from better versions that I've had, probably the best part was the plum sauce and pancakes. Sadly it was similar to my home made version, because neither of them tasted like the dish I grew up loving.
Oh! I lied, there is another good thing about the food, it was pretty inexpensive (another case of getting what you pay for I suppose). I honestly can't rate the service/staff, their customer interaction is minimal to...
Read moreI'm so glad we stumbled upon this gem. If you drive down Raeford road, you'll never see it cause it's on the side of a shopping center away from the street, but easily the best Chinese restaurant I've been to in the Fayetteville/Raeford area. Got chicken and broccoli and fried wings for myself and crab Rangoon for the wife. Chicken and broccoli was so good, I didn't need any soy sauce or duck sauce on it! Rice was cooked just right. Wings were juicy and crispy, not dried out like other places often do. Lastly my wife who always has a complaint about her crab Rangoon (either stale, too little filling, etc) actually said "wow this is pretty good!" I rarely give five stars, but this place got it right....
