This IHOP is the worst! Every time we have been to this one something always happens. First hair under as well as in pancakes, unclean dishes brought to our table on 4 different occasions, metal shavings in one omelette, plastic wrapper in another and this last visit which will definitely be our last really did it. Hostess was completely rude, didn't ask what sitting we preferred and just sat us in a very inconvenient spot where we were told we couldn't have a high chair. If you see someone with a baby you should probably ask if they need a high chair and you should probably put them in a spot where a high chair can go. The place wasn't even that busy being it was dinner time but our server got our drinks then forgot about us for almost 20 minutes. When she brought out our coffee she was telling us adults to be careful that it was really hot .... AS SHE PUT THE HOT COFFEE IN FRONT OF A BABY!! Come on are you serious!?!! After trying to get eyes on her she came over asking what we needed after saying we wanted to order food ... She completely forgot about us although she had only 2 other tables. We received our food and never got checked on for refills or anything except 15 minutes later we were handed the check, we weren't even offered desert or boxes. When I went to pay finally after having to ask another waitress for a box our waitress with one of the waiters and a few others were just hanging out at the front register chatting with a sonic employee while eating food with her. They had drinks as well up there , eating with their fingers just picking at food. Not once did we see any of them go wash their hands before going to check on a table or take food out. Also being treated like an inconvenience for wanting to pay our bill isn't appreciated at all, I should have just walked out at that point. It's not our fault you didn't take our method of payment and cash us out when it was convenient to you so you can continue not doing your job and just hang out with friends. The only way this has one star is because you actually cooked a steak...
Read moreI usually don’t write negative reviews, but I felt this experience needed to be shared.
We visited this restaurant and were disappointed with both the service and the attitude of the management. I ordered a drink called Pineapple Splasher, which was supposed to come with fresh pineapple and strawberries (as shown in the promotional photo on every table). After waiting quite a while, our drinks and coffee finally arrived — but the Pineapple Splasher was just plain lemonade with no fruit at all.
When I asked the server about the missing fruit, she simply replied, “We don’t have it.” No apology, no explanation.
Then our food came, and when she asked if everything was okay, I mentioned again that the drink didn’t come as advertised. I also asked about the red syrup that usually comes with the crepes I ordered (according to what I’ve had before and the photos). She insisted it doesn’t come with syrup.
At that moment, the manager — who was nearby and overheard the conversation — came to the table. I explained the situation again: why wasn’t I told when I ordered the drink that the fruit wasn’t available? I could’ve chosen something else. Instead, they brought it to the table without saying a word. His only response was, “There’s no fruit.” No apology or effort to make things right.
I asked how a large restaurant like this could run out of fruit, especially when it’s used in drinks and desserts. He said the delivery truck would arrive the next day. I also questioned why there was fruit for the strawberry crepes I ordered but not for the drink — again, no clear answer. He also confirmed the crepes don’t come with the syrup, and that was it — no offer to bring anything extra or to compensate for the poor experience.
One of the other servers kindly apologized, but honestly, the manager should’ve been the one to handle the situation properly. The issue itself wasn’t huge — but the lack of transparency and the manager’s dismissive attitude were really...
Read moreWe drove up and it looked empty, we called and they said they were open. We entered and waited over 5 minutes for someone to come to the front to seat us, we could hear the workers laughing and carrying on. When the hostess did finally come, she did not apologize, she sat us in a booth. Our waitress was real nice but when we thought our experience was getting better , we see a dead roach and then a live one crawled right in front of us and the waitress. We pointed to the roaches and the waitress said “oh I know, I will get someone to clean it up” no one came the roach crawled away under another patrons table, then up another table. Waitress came back and said the people who clean up don’t come in until 9 am. We got our food, no napkins or silverware. My niece pointed at another roach. She got a dust pan and broom and moved it but did not take it out . I get my food and the ham taste sour. I couldn’t finish my food and yet another roach came out, this time another patron stood up and killed it. The busboy boy came and bussed the table and picked up the roach with the napkin and put it in the dirty dishes. I’m disgusted and I will never come to this IHOP again. I told the waitress about my food and she said I should have told her earlier so she could get them to make something else. When we checked out , waitress asked if we wanted a to go box, she also said she told the manager about the “roaches” said that manager said it was because of the front door seals, the rain and it wasn’t roaches they are water bugs!’ I know the difference between the two and it was no water bug. What makes it worse is the manager never came out , did not offer to take the food off the ticket, apologies or nothing. $31 dollar waste!! I was so disgusted , too sick to...
