This was an extremely hard review to write for a lot of great waitresses that work here will be affected. I went to this restaurant with my family a couple of weeks ago. I ordered a medium-rare steak but received a well-done one. The waitress agreed it was well-done and offered to send it back. (Our waitress was great!) However, a manager then argued with me, insisting the steak was medium-rare. I explained I am a regular customer, ordering the same steak over 30 times a year, and this had never happened. She then said she would charge me for a new steak. I questioned why I should pay for a mistake that wasn't mine. After some back and forth, she offered for me to take the well-done steak home, which I declined as it wasn't what I ordered. For argument's sake, and to set an example for my son, I agreed to be charged, hoping the restaurant would do the right thing. When I called a few days later, a rude lady answered and refused to connect me to the owner or take my number without knowing the reason, even though I offered my name and number. Eventually, she took it, but no one called back. I called again a couple of days later, and the owner's son answered. He agreed with my story and even recalled being there that night. He offered compensation and said either he or his father would call me. I still haven't received a call. I am very upset and disappointed with how a regular customer was treated.

I tried calling this place for at least 20 minutes trying to order some chips before I got there, but the phone was busy the entire time, when I finally got there I pulled up to the side window trying to see if I could order there, but sat at the window for at least 15 minutes without being acknowledged while all of the employees walked by, finally a bearded gentleman with some tattoos walked up to the window and opened it, and I tried to tell him I was trying to order some chips but his response was “you can’t order here, you either have to call or go inside” and while I was trying to explain to him what happened he closed the window on my face, I then went inside to order the chips and the host was on the phone the whole time, one of the servers took my order but said she couldn’t take the cash so I had to wait for the host to get off the phone. I’ve been a server/host myself and I’ve never seen such unprofessional behavior at a restaurant. Will not set foot in this place again. The food is great but the customer service...

The service was slow (despite several staff just standing around), the noise level made it difficult to have a conversation (even our server had trouble hearing our order), the chips were "so-so" and the salsa was way too picante (we later discovered that another table was offered a mild and hot, but not us), the drinks came in bottles without glasses, the food for the two of us arrived in a strange timing (i.e. long delay after I received mine before my wife got her's). Then surprises: my El Bandito Burrito was almost tasteless (maybe the salsa picante had burned my taste buds), but worse, my wife's chicken (Burrito De Pollo Asada) was rubbery. She asked me to try it, and I was so disgusted. Both of us could not continue our meal--it was horrible. When the server asked how things were, it took some time for her to understand the problem.
