I've been coming to this place since they opened a few years ago, as I've always loved mochi donuts. I've never been impressed with their donuts, as they're a little tough and some of the flavors are honestly quite bad. But the white icing and matcha icing in particular are pretty good, and a tough or stale mochi donut is still better than no mochi donut, imo. I went more recently and was told that they only sell the mochi donuts on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday ONLY) which is insane, because their name is literally Mochi XO. It's not Boba XO or KDog XO. Their main thing for years has been the mochi donuts and now they've decided to scale back on them (to 2/7 days a week). I think they'd be better off changing their name, as it's pretty misleading now. I've never tried their drinks, as they're way too overpriced, but every other item I've tried there is always sub-par. As a last note, I've never reviewed a place less than 4 or 5 stars because I understand it can truly hurt a business. But this place provides terrible service and products, and I'd recommend every other restaurant in the food...
Read moreThey have blocked out most of their prices, so you don't know what you are paying when you order. The girl at the counter was on the phone the entire time, and I wasn't sure if she got my order until she motioned for me to pay. There was no price listed on the credit card machine and since she was talking on the phone, she didn't bother to tell me the price either. When I saw the charge on my credit card later, they charged me a dollar more than anything listed on their menu, the few prices you can actually see. This alone is enough reason to quit going because it feels like a scam. I ordered a jasmine milk with boba. The jasmine tea was over brewed so extremely bitter. Best save your money and go to Bobo's Ribbon Ice down the street. It is literally on your way to the mall, a much better deal, and they know how to brew their tea. *As I've seen Mochi Xos' response to others who have complained about the price of the boba tea, let me say in advance, it doesn't matter if the price customers are charged is the price that Mochi Xo intend to charge. Bottom line is: the boba tea...
Read moreâźď¸WOULDNâT RECOMMEND ITâźď¸ Writing this after Iâm now leaving Mochi Xo in the NWA Mall, the service was TERRIBLE and EMBARRASSING! As i went to place an order for a normal mochi donut and was talking to the cashier, the, i guess âmanager?â or should i say CHILD (because she honestly looked to be 15 years old) interrupted me and the cashier to scold her in front of me for a simple mistake. I thought it was a little strange to go off on your employees in front of customers, but i kept my mouth closed. As I then proceed to pay, the manager AGAIN stops both me and the cashier and explains that the CASHIER put in the total amount of the donut wrong (in front of me). It wasnât wrong. Iâve been going here for about a month now and know the price of a single mochi donut, but because the child manager persisted that the price was right I gave up and didnât purchase it. Hope this post will be a heads up to anyone considering on going to Mochi Xo now, some ignorant kid is...
