This place is in the oddest oddest location but I'm certain it's on purpose. I think they are only open for lunch. If you work in this industrial park I'm sure you already know about this place as it was pretty full even at 1pm.
It's good. Very good. Maggie's is like what Bread Co used to be before it became panera. Maybe even better if I may be so bold.
Oh, and since you brought panera up, I'll swing for the fences. I try and never pass up a chance to complain about Bread Co changing their name. Even if it requires me to shoe horn it into someone else's review and tell you, the reader, that it was your idea. And as opposed to my review of the new Land Rover. A vehicle that I, to this day, have never even seen in person but have strong feelings about, a panera tangent at here feels more natural here. Plus, I really did eat here.
panera is a stupid name. There I said it l. It's so stupid I refuse to even capitalize it at the beginning of a sentence. Do you know how hard that is to do on a phone? It's difficult.
Maggie if you're listening, (I'm so nervous) your food is awesome. I don't want you following down the path of darkness. I don't have that kind of time. Promise when you guys blow up like the Spice Girls to keep your cool name. Even if you expand into dinner or start offering carved pumpkins or something. Stay true to your roots. "meg's slanted box" It just does't do it for me. At least not in this...
Read moreDon't let the industrial setting fool you, this is a top notch, fantastic, locally run cafe. There seems to be a genuine effort to make everything the best it can be in terms of quality of ingredients and in preparation. Decor is casual, with a surprising amount of seating. The facility is very clean with family photos just reassuring that you are not in a homogenized chain restraunt. This mom and pop establishment is a perfect example of why that can make for a better experience. The menu consists of breakfast, lunch cafe type items and constantly rotating specials that will be sure to tempt. Bakery and dessert items are off the charts as well including original ice cream sandwich flavors like "dark & stormy," "coffee" etc. I wish they were open on weekends, but it is an understandable tradeoff for a family to still be a family while giving 100% during peak times. Highly...
Read moreTo those that look at this place and not think much of its humble exterior, i would say to never judge a book by its cover.
This place once inside opens up in to a full fledged dining room and is set up simaler to a coffee shop. The decor is friendly and bright with lunchboxes lining the walls, with a kid friendly atmosphere.
As for the food i was very much perplexed by the price as i had ordered biscuits and gravy, eggs, and hashbrowns. However when the waiter came out with two heaping plates i was astonished at what i got for my buck.
The only problem i had with the food was the eggs and is the only reason i didn't give it 5 stars however biscuits and gravy alone is worth every star.
I would definitely recommend this place to any family looking for a good after church brunch or to any hungry newcomers. Sincerely The...
