I love Faraci's Pizza. I've been eating their pizzas and other food items for over 40 years. I was first introduced to Faraci Pizza by my first high school boyfriend back in 1975. The current owners worked for the previous owners when we were in our early teens. The food is still delicious. Dawn, her hubby (please forgive me for not remembering his name) and the rest of the staff are friendly, kind and respectful service. Over the years I've introduced Faraci's Pizza to many, family and friends. I've never had any complaints about the food or service, nor any complaints from others. To me Faraci's Pizza is the best pizza in North St. Louis County, MO. Two years ago during I ordered pizza on Saturday evening. I went to pick up my pizza. When I got ready to leave my car wouldn't start. One other customer had cables and jumped started my and suggested I leave my car running. I couldn't didn't have extra keys to lock the doors. Anyway, when I got ready to leave the car didn't start again. I went back in Faraci's to find out if anyone had cables and could they help me. Dawn's husband, another customer there at that time (who use to work for Faraci's) and this young man's dad help to get my car started. I left the parking lot and stopped at the stop sign next to their business and my car stopped running. Lucky for me these men were still outside making sure I was alright. When my car wouldn't start they pushed my car onto Faraci's parking lot. Dawn's husband said my car could stay their as long as I needed to. I found a way home that evening, very disappointed about my car, but was glad that these people were their to help me. And when I got home I had great pizza 🍕 to look forward to eating. Thanks for Faraci's Pizza for the memories. Laura...
Read moreThe place is clean. But it was hands down the worst pizza I have ever had and the service was barely adequate. My husband has always talked about how it was the best pizza, his favorite, so I was looking forward to it, but.... It was little better than ketchup flavored cheese on a flat cracker. And what is the point of having Parmesan cheese on the table if you are going to put 1/2 cup on top of the pizza anyway? Parmesan cheese ( which I hate) aside, the crust was burnt on one side, the flattest crust I have ever seen, seriously, it was flatter than a saltine cracker. The cheese was ORANGE , which could very well have been due to the sauce and pepperoni, but still very off-putting. My hubby ate nearly half of his pizza ( which was not orange btw) although he admitted it was not as good as he remembered it being, but I ate 2 bites from one piece and nothing more. The waitress did a flyby "you guys doing okay" and then kept walking. Never noticed I wasn't eating...was sitting there with my hands crossed. A different server came by and offered to box up the leftovers, never commenting that I didn't touch mine. Original server dropped off check and ran off.
EDIT: I was at the Ellisville location, not Ferguson. Sorry, it won't let tme take down the review. One should not judge the Ferguson location based on this review. From what I have been told, it is...
Read moreThis place is a shrine for me and my son. I lived in Ferguson for 45 years, and a block away from Faraci's for 10 years, and have eaten everything on their menu many times over. It's all good, and the pizza – while maybe not for "foodie" purists – remains my all-time favorite. The decor inside hasn't changed much since the 1980s, but I don't care, and besides, the business is primarily carry-out. Unless things have changed dramatically, they don't deliver – you have to go get it from their modest little stand-alone brick building. Now that I live in another state, I make a point of taking several Faraci pizzas back with me every time I come to St. Louis to visit.
They do very thin crust, and do it very well, with a little corn meal on the bottom. The cheese is Provel, which some will disapprove of, but I like just fine. Not too much sauce, and generous toppings. The pizzas are rectangular, and are cut into rectangular pieces, which I like very much. It allows better portion control, for one thing, if the pizza is being shared, or you only want to eat part of it. I like Imo's, too, but not as much as Faraci's. For as long as they're in business, I'll continue to make a pilgrimage to Faraci's when my travel brings me...
