This is easily one of my favorite places to go. Its comfortably homey. The food is always great! The staff is great and friendly. They make some amazing homemade breads. There is an ever changing board of specials, including my reuben omelette!
The pancakes are nice and fluffy and the french toast is very..... um... french toasty. Their skillets are great too, especially with the sausage gravy on top.
They have coloring sheets for kids, and will hang stuff on the wall if you ask them too.
The dining room is a little small, so you're probably going to wait on a Saturday or Sunday morning, but its worth it. And in the warmer months, they have outdoor seating.
The only down side is that the bathroom is through the kitchen, so if you're not comfortable with that... I hope you can hold it.
Parking out front or on the side street. Even when they're busy, you can usually find a spot, but don't use the lot attached to the building. Its for the business next door, and full of pot holes that could sink the titanic.
Enjoy...
Read moreAlways great and friendly service. The specials are so good so I'd recommend checking the board when you come in. The regular menu of course is always a hit as well and great deserts Updating my review: this place used to be a gem but our last experience was the last straw and we haven’t been back since, we came in one day to order and they were pretty busy, we got our order in and waited at the counter. Another party, woman and child, came in and sat at the counter and then ordered a little after. After waiting about 35 minutes we inquired and were told it should be coming soon, then we noticed the woman and child got their food before us when I asked why since they came after the waitress said our order was pushed back so they could get the woman’s order out since she had a child with her. Didn’t seem fair and it was weird but okay I’ll wait 45 minutes then. On top of the missing items that seemed to happen quite often I figured it wasn’t...
Read moreTiny little restaurant with only a few tables (one being our table which was uber small but big enough for us) and a long row of bar stools. Folks inside seemed to really love this place and I know why. The food is darn good. I had a veggie omelet with hash browns. So good and large. I had some to take home. Also, I think it's known for the extra friendly atmosphere of the staff and it also seems to spread over to the patrons. Since it so small the table next to us also joined in our conversation a few times....to our delight I must say. We shared iPhone tips and local destination information so it was fun. I can see why it's a local favorite because of its 'right at home' feel that even includes the stockpile of collected treasures lining the shelves and even the surprise skeleton on the blanket covered entrance waiting bench. Go there if you aren't a snobby & aloof...
