Absolutely delicious sandwich! I had the Buffalo Jambon, and you could taste each and every ingredient used, even though it was so simple. The price reflects the quality of ingredients, so be prepared for a high quality sandwich. Service was great, as it should be. Great vibes and music. They also have an area where they sell local small business goods like high quality canned fish, from Dover Sole to Tuna, simple things like crackers, and even their own coffee. Additionally, there is a drink cooler with interesting sodas and other drinks, like mushroom cola and spicy ginger ale. Don’t listen to Michael Mullins, he only rates lowly on places he hasn’t even tried…. What a loser. And I plan on going back tomorrow to prove Cathy Pope’s dilapidated tastebuds wrong about the Clong sandwich. Looking forward to it!

I don't have the time or space here to provide all of my qualifications for reviewing sandwiches. Nor would you wish to read such. So let's just get down to the facts. Tall Trees is home to some of the best and most original sandwiches I've had in metro Detroit. From the incredible bread to the meats, cheeses, veggies, and sauces, these bad boys are brushing up against sandwich perfection. I'm not going to lobby you to go there, I'm just going to feel bad for you if you miss out on the deliciousness. Also the place is adorable and has a bunch of other great things for sale. Don't be late - they will sell out and you will be left empty handed and empty tummied. You've been warned.

I checked this place out because it was recently opened (3 weeks ago). I enjoyed the vibe inside as it was super simple and hipster. Very clean. I like that it has a minimal menu. That makes it so easy to choose what to eat. And they seem to have a sandwich option for every diet. I also like the bread. It's fresh and interesting. But honestly, that's the only thing interesting about the Clong sandwich. I would come back here again to try the other options, but the turkey on the Clong wasn't great quality. And the sandwich flavor was too subtle for my taste. A bit bland for the price. Service was great and, despite the paper sign, it was easy to find.

Do not consider this a spot you can reasonably hit up on your lunch break.

The signs were there, there's no phone number or online ordering but I'd heard a lot about this place and I really wanted to shop small and try new places. It was really busy, busier than I realized since a lot of people were waiting outside. I don't want to discredit they were experiencing a lunch rush but it is a take out deli and so you make an assumption they can move through a crowd so yes it was busy but not so busy i immediately was able to scope it out and leave for another spot i could fit into my lunch break. Anyways im rambling but im trying to be fair i ordered two of their it appear signature sandwiches with no substitution waited about 45 minutes which I know because I was obsessively checking my watch because I'm on a timed lunch break. The sandwich itself was good I like dill a lot but if you're not a super dill fan you might not like it as much. It's hard to give a food review since everything taste worse when your eating at your desk between zoom calls instead of what you had planned which was a cute long lunch at the park with my wife.

Please consider online ordering, phone ordering, or figuring out efficiencies to be able to handle a Friday lunch rush. I really wanted this to be a cute little lunch special lunch spot for me, and my dreams of that are dashed.

Also telling your friend hey come over here I'm not as busy now i can chat when you have people waiting include me obviously watch looking and a women in scrubs clearly needing to get back to her shift. It's not a great customer...

I finally got to try Tall Trees Cafe today! I got the spicy mortadella sandwich. It was the perfect sandwich. It was a very generous size so I was able to save half of it for dinner and it tasted just as good if not better somehow later in the evening. There is a ton of flavor but none of the flavors were too overwhelming. The iceberg buttermilk salad paired with the mortadella was a perfect combination. I’m also a huge fan of dill so I loved that in the sandwich. The semolina bread was also amazing and so fresh tasting. I also got the salad which was equally amazing. Loved the crunch, citrus, and coconut combination. I like that the menu is small so everything on it is done extremely well. My husband got the Clong sandwich and loved it. We tried the feta dip and that was also amazing. It was so hard not to try everything on the menu. This place was really so good and I can’t...
