Very nice set up! Easily accommodated or large group. Nostalgic furniture and pictures. The circus looking dolls really didn't fit the decor as set up, but perhaps would have been great in another setting. Beautiful exterior. Would love to attend with a smaller group, to enjoy the esthetics of the surroundings. The scones were fresh, tasty and delicious (wish we were offered more, only had one a piece) The mushroom soup was delicious! OMG! the run cake was superb! Salad was fresh and delicious, to include chicken salad. Portions were small. Very nice porcelain tea settings! Perhaps I'm unfamiliar with the correct intake of tea but I think honey and perhaps agave should be offered as sweetners along with the sugar/ sweetener packs. I like the way in which the meal was introduced and explained. Servers were very cordial and attentive. Understand this is a tea room, no coffee, no juice, no sodas... they have tea. Not quite sure how many offerings of tea they have not types, because of the function we had, the types were pre- selected as black and herbal. It would be more appealing if the individuals at each table could select the tea or perhaps have a selection process for introducing tea to people as an experience. The menu online is very confusing and seems costly, may deter guest. I'd like to experience again, but not certain how, based on how the menu is reflective. They must take into consideration that bit everyone is okay with consuming alcohol, offer alternatives to the tim cake or the soup or dish...

I wasn't a hot tea person, and I'm definitely not into tea parties, but the Purple Door Tearoom made me reconsider. My first time here was for my friend's bridal shower, and it was an unforgettable experience!

The place was dolled up with decor that was what I could only describe as Victorian Mardi Gras. There were floral patterns everywhere with a splash of southern flair. It was surprisingly cozy. Along with tables they also had couches where people could lounge and enjoy their meals. It didn't have the snooty atmosphere I anticipated of a tearoom ( as they say, never judge a book by its cover 😅).

The food was incredible. The menu of the day called for a few traditional tea party foods such as cucumber sandwiches and the best scones I've as well as a delicious turkey pesto croissant sandwich, a savory tomato bruschetta, and chicken salad on an apple slice a with a side of fruit salad. Despite the small size of the entrees, each item was packed full of flavor. And of course the tea was to die for: an herbal pomegranate tea and a strawberry black tea that were pure ecstasy.

The incredible food was accompanied by equally incredible service. Our hosts were very professional, courteous, and attentive to our needs. Everyone in our party enjoyed our time there and left completely satisfied.

Overall, the Purple Door Tearoom is an exquisite venue for all sorts of occasions, whether it's a bridal shower or just to pop in for a spot of tea....

I would give this place 5 stars a million times if they’d let me. We came here for a small family only get together for my daughter’s 4th birthday. We had 3 kids with us and a number of adults. The service was amazing, we always had tea to drink, the men were kind, accommodating, helpful, I could go on. They went above and beyond, even bringing us ice cubes to cool the kids’ tea. They even went as far as changing the menu last minute for the kids by making a shaped peanut butter and jelly and a mini flatbread pizza. The kids gobbled them up and were soooo excited to get something special. They even made special bread-less sandwiches for my Aunt with allergies. They also made her a delicious fruit salad as her dessert. She was in awe that she was actually taken care of when normally she has to just deal with separating the things she allergic to or not getting to eat half of the meal. They listened, cared, and made exactly what she could eat and she was so happy. Each adult said “This place is impressive, this was amazing” and each kid said “I had soooooooo much fun!!!” Not a complaint was made. It was an amazing experience, wonderful and peaceful atmosphere, beautiful decorations, impeccable service, and all around unforgettable birthday for our little girl and anyone who attended. We will definitely be coming back and are so thankful for all that they did for us during our time there. 10/10 highly recommend anyone try...
