Today’s journey has taken us to Pittsburgh marathon dinner in the airport on our trip. The menu is very detailed and to the selections and also to the traditional it hold close to. Upon walking up to it I was quickly greeted and and asked how I was doing. Not know anything about this place I asked the staff for the recommendation and they said the gyro. Now we have had tradition Greek food and it was on point. So I went with the staff pick with fries. To my suprise they left the salt off for you the customer to salt as you like. That is something that you do not see or have happen a lot. The fries are fresh and not you typical frozen restaurant fries which were on point. So let’s take a trip and dive into this gyro. The tzatziki sauce Is on point and the meat is perfect and flavorful. My readers you know me for picking apart everything with the food and being selective with places I review, but this review I am happy to write about. This food is fresh clean flavorful and leaves want to try more. The employees are on point with knowledge of the menu items. No stanchions for lines so I went to the sub shop first, but the cashier had her arms folded and did not look happy. So I went back and to Marathon and the you lady working the register greeted me right away, AND, was not irritated at all that I needed to read the menu. Cute girl too, win for Marathon to have such a pleasant face at their counter.
Cook was very friendly too. Hard worker and cares.
Went with the Marathon Burger. Again, excellent. I will definitely seek this place out next time passing...
