True Score- 2.63/5 Stars Came here after a college graduation with some family for dinner. We had a large party, so had to wait a bit, but enjoyed a great IPA during the wait. However, that was probably the bright spot for this visit. Food: The food was decent. Not the best brewery food I have ever had, but certainly not the worst. The pretzels and cheese curds to start were solid, as well as the side salad that I got with my burger. My burger, the Antelope burger, was just okay. I ordered it with a lot of pink, and it came well done. It was still decent, however it just didn’t seem to pack much flavor. Some family got the pulled pork sandwiches and the bbq nachos, which sounded like they liked it, but I tried the pulled pork and it was SO SALTY. Not a fan. I had a Thirst Trap IPA, and it was excellent. Price: By FAR the worst part of this experience. My burger was 17 dollars. Absolutely outrageous. I’m always down to pay for a quality burger, but comparably, this burger was not worth over 9 dollars. The cheapest appetizer is 7 dollars, and it is just a plate of fries. Pricing here is ATROCIOUS. I understand it is a small business, but my goodness! The merch was priced well though. 25 for a long sleeved T shirt is a good price. Service: Service was good. It took a while to be seated but that is totally okay since we had a large party. Our waiter was awesome and charismatic, so that was also nice. The food took a while to come out, but again, large party. The bartenders however, were very slow. Had to wait in a short line for a long time just to get a beer. Facilities: The place is fairly small. Not a place for a big gathering by any means. Everything was nice though, and their merch selection was very good. I bought a T shirt. The environment was like most breweries, so it was a fun atmosphere. Satisfied? Overall, not very satisfied with this experience. I would never personally come here for a meal again due to the pricing. If this was a gathering of friends and we just got some appetizers, it would be fine. But, you may have to refinance your home just to get a burger. The beer, however, was excellent. NOTE: Star rating based on my own formula consisting of flavor, cost, facilities, service, and overall satisfaction. Reviews are subject to change based on future visits.

We dined at Findlay Brewing Company this week, and it’s safe to say they’ve mastered the art of “fine, I guess.” The beer? Drinkable, but more enthusiasm than expertise. It’s the kind of beer you consume and immediately forget, like the playlist at a high school reunion. The food? Functional. Not one of us had anything to say—no “this is great,” just silence and a bit of confusion over the fried pepperoni appetizer. (Pepperoni, as chips? Bold choice.) My chicken sandwich was aggressively ordinary, served with enough fries to feed half of Findlay. The ambiance was standard semi-industrial brewery with high ceilings, and heating so robust it felt like a sauna. Outside, there’s a beer-making infographic partly blocked by an archway—a perfect metaphor for the evening: good intentions, mediocre execution. (photo attached) Even the service was oddly rushed, with the check arriving well before closing time, but without anyone asking if we'd like a second round. At a brewery, of all places! My wife suspects they just wanted to close up and go home. But here’s the thing—Findlay Brewing isn’t trying to dazzle. It’s a block from Marathon Oil’s headquarters, and it’s hard not to imagine middle-aged, middle-income office workers loving it for exactly what it is: predictable. Safe. A place where nothing will surprise you, challenge you, or linger in your memory beyond the time it takes to walk to your car. If you’re looking for a brew pub that plays it safer than a middle manager’s khaki wardrobe, Findlay Brewing is your spot. For the rest of us? One visit is probably enough.

My friend and I went to this brewery and ask for a seat outside since it was nice day out. There were empty tables on the patio. The host girl told us the patio was full when clearly there was only a few tables that had people and the rest were empty. So we’re like okay, we’ll sit inside. Two-three minutes later, a Caucasian family walked in and asked for patio seating and the host girl took them out to to seated them. I noticed and I was not happy be caused when my friend and I asked, she stated “tables are full.” Now I don’t know because I’m Asian and my friend is black but we didn’t feel we got treated right. I went up to the hostess and asked her why she seated that family when she clearly told me it was “full.” Now she’s saying “there was only one server to run the patio.” The hostess is now telling me two stories. The food was delicious and our waitress was nice. But we left the place unsatisfied with the service we got.

Great beer, good food, absolutely AWFUL service. We had a 4 top, ordered our beer, waited 15 minutes for our beers to come out.

After that, we put our orders in, and, not exaggerating, waited 2 HOURS for our food to come out overall. I say overall because our waiter decided each of our dishes should come out separately. 2 people finished eating before the other 2 even were served.

On top of that, no one was bussing empty dishes, or even offering refills. In close to 2 and a half hours we were asked about our drinks twice. The latter half of our meals were without beverages.

To top it all off our checks were completely wrong. We told the waiter how our checks were split at the beginning and they came to us with items from each party seemingly randomly thrown on. At that point we didn't care to sit and wait anymore so we just gave each other cash and made it even out ourselves.

To restate, the beer is fantastic, the food was good, but the wait staff made this an insanely dissatisfying experience. They we're friendly, but I'd be surprised if they had ever waited a table in their lives.

EDIT: After coming back, the service still leaves something to be desired, but has definitely improved.

Pair this with excellent beer still and some great live entertainment, and I'll be...
