If there's a place that captures the spirit of a well-traveled palate, it's the Wine Merchant. An excellent stop for a bountiful array of unique wines and beers, this place is a haven for those who appreciate the finer things in life. Whether you're seeking a rare vintage or an obscure craft brew, you’ll find it here, and the option to get some on tap adds an extra layer of enjoyment. But the real gem of the Wine Merchant is its special events. When they roll out their special dishes, like the seafood stew, it’s a revelation. A highly varied, healthy portion of sea creatures, each bite is a testament to the sea's bounty. It’s the kind of dish that makes you appreciate the complexity and beauty of simple, honest food. The staff at the Wine Merchant are excellent—knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They create the perfect environment to unwind and enjoy a seat after work, making you feel like you’ve found a secret corner of the world where the hustle and bustle fades away, and all that matters is the glass in your hand and the food on your plate. In a world full of cookie-cutter wine bars, the Wine Merchant stands out as a place with soul. It's a place where the ordinary becomes extraordinary, and where you can always expect the unexpected. If you haven't been, go. Your palate will thank you.

Love this spot, try and stop whenever we’re in Findlay. Great selection of wines both in the shop and wine bar. I frequently opt for their weekly pour, easy way to try something new/different. Food menu is small but good - flatbreads, charcuterie and spreads. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Loved it! The waitress was friendly and shared recommendations on food and wine pairing. Food and wine were great! Will come back to try other pairing combinations.

Super friendly staff. Honestly, I was able to fill my growler up here before it was a thing. The owner just found a way to make it work. Another time he opened a beer for me and my dad to try in the store while he drank one with us. They will help you find whatever you're looking for. Always impressed at the selection of beers in the rotating tap. Only thing I don't like is when the winos take over on Friday nights. They act as if you're inconveniencing them by being in the store perusing...

This is where I first asked my husband for his number (there was no second time)- and where we went after we got married down by the Old Mill Stream. Its food is incredible, the wine is gorgeous, the workers are beautiful and knowledgeable, and they'll order whatever you want from distributors if they don't have it in stock. FYI their jalapeño fondue is to die for and their pizza is ridiculously yummy. Come here! #theyrenotpayingmetosaythis...
