Great Taste Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Flatwoods

We recently visited here for the first time in five years and were very pleased with the results! When this place was a buffet, I would leave with an upset stomach and a headache without fail each time - and so we just stopped going. I received a gift card to the establishment, and so we decided to take advantage of that. Not having been in five years, we were confused to see that the small buffet table had been removed and replaced with a long and very cluttered ordering counter. The inside is extremely messy, unkempt, and outdated with awkward seat placement, an unorganized cleaning bar, and boxes all over the place. However, it didn't appear to be dirty. My family of five ordered our food and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and quantity that we received. The food was very fresh, hot, and tasty, and is served in a higher quality to-go box complete with a lid - which we found to be quite convenient. The only drinks available were bottled ones inside a small cooler to the side, although there was a fountain drink station on top of the cleaning bar. The young man who took our order was very helpful and good natured. All in all, it was a good experience and we found that all the parts that really mattered to our dining experience were top notch. If they were to get their inside dining situation updated and organized, there'd be five stars for them from me! We can't wait to...

My family of 6 orders takeout here at least 3 times a month. That being said, it’s not cheap to do so. Usually the food is decent, for a Chinese restaurant in flatwoods, Kentucky. So when I pulled out the order of spare ribs for my husband and it was so undercooked that even the dog didn’t want to eat it, I called the restaurant. They told me that they wouldn’t refund the food and offered a store credit for the next time we order, or for them to be remade. BUT ONLY IF I BROUGHT THE FOOD BACK TO THE STORE????? Well that’s certainly not happening with a newborn.. We won’t be coming back. Do better for the customers that you can keep.

That being said, anyone have any good Chinese...

I recently moved to the area and have been trying to find good places to get takeout Chinese.... this is NOT it. We ordered here from Doordash, & both entrees we got (Pepper Steak with Onion and General Tso's Chicken) were incredibly bland and underwhelming; it's like they had no seasoning added whatsoever. Even drowning them in soy sauce & MSG as a last resort didn't redeem them. Even the crab rangoons we got on the side were bland and boring, albeit slightly better than the entrees. Absolutely not worth what I paid, next time I'll just go to my local mall and get better Chinese food there. I will not be ordering...
