Main Street Pizza and Tacos — Restaurant in Flemington

I had lived in Flemington for a few years, now in Hillsborough, but my husband and I make it over to flemington to go to Costco often. We tried out Main Street pizza, formally know as “Jacks pizza” on our latest visit to the area after seeing a few people post about it on the Flemington Facebook page. And to say we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food would be an understatement! My husbands not a big pizza fan, but there were plenty tortas options for his liking. Upon getting our food, he did end up stealing a few bites of my pizza to which he was very happy with how delicious it was! We ordered a few slices, garlic knots, a chicken cheese quesadilla, and the Veal tortas, and all were absolutely amazing! The gentleman behind the counter was so friendly, upon speaking to him we had found out that he had been in the pizza making business for fifty years, which is a testament to how absolutely amazing the pizza is! He had a very nice conversation with us and it really felt like family in there. Overall we could tell that the new owner is striving to make this a success spot on Main Street, the food was great quality, we could tell it was all super fresh and only the best ingredients and products are being used! I’ll not say anything about the person who served us. Let’s just leave it at that. I’ll just stick to the food. Myself and 2 other friends were looking at properties in the area and we rushed in to grab a quick bite and rush to our appointment. First of all, all the prices had lines scratched over them. But I assumed (never ever do that!!!) that there was a slight adjustment in prices and there were re-doing their menu board. Didn’t really think too much of it. Assumed (again, don’t do that) that price of a burrito couldn’t be more than $10-12 (MAX!!!) in a dinky place like that. We each ordered and when I paid…the freaking bill came up to $59!!!!! For 3 items and 2 cans of soda. Bl—dy rip off! Never EVER go to this place. My friends ordered crane asada with beans and tortillas. It was gravy…no beans! Stay away...

DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT ORDER THE DESSERTS!! I got a slice of tiramisu and it literally taste like mouldy water, probably a slice sitting in the back of their fridge since hurricane Sandy. I also ordered pizza, mozzarella sticks, and cheese fries. I know this isn’t on them per se, but the fries were extremely soggy by the time I got to my destination which was 7 minutes away! Better packaging? For the pizza, as mediocre as it could get. I also ordered mozzarella sticks, it’s hard to mess something up you essentially just throw in a fryer. Moreover what shocks me is for four slices, a slice of MOLDY cake, an order of mozzarella sticks, order of soggy french fries, and a Gatorade came out to nearly $40.
