Flint Crepe Company — Restaurant in Flint

First off, the staff was great, nothing wrong with them. But let's be honest, this place is getting really high ratings because it's a crepe place in Flint and it's trendy. Saturday and the wait for food after placing an order was over 30 minutes. I get waiting in line to order. It's Saturday morning. There were maybe 3 groups ahead of us. But it's a crepe. They can be made pretty quick. The problem is the set up. They have two stations to make them. That's it. So while my girlfriend and I are waiting and noticing that outside and inside, there are 6 groups without food, I can't help but think maybe it would be beneficial to have more than 2 stations. If you get a group of 4 and they order one or two each (which you might consider doing if you want to be full), you can see how it would quickly get out of hand. They make your drinks fast. The shaken iced espresso I had wasn't great. Extremely strong and bitter. That's saying something because I love very strong coffee drinks. Girlfriend's Arnold Palmer was just ok. The crepes were good. Not phenomenal. Over $20 for 2 crepes and 2 drinks. Both of us were still hungry after. Sure...the place is perfect if you want to post pictures on Instagram. But if you want some good food, at a good price, in a timely manner,...

Honestly a pretty uncomfortable experience this morning. Standing in line at the ordering screen waiting (completely understandable as they were very busy) when a young black lady comes up about an order made incorrectly. She was speaking very quietly, so much so that while we were less than three feet from her I couldn’t hear a single thing she said other than talking about her drink. The worker who was dealing with the issue apparently had a problem with what the customer had said (quietly might I add) and with the situation as a whole because they had a verbal outburst about working hard and began berating this woman about racism and then yelled out to the restaurant “raise your hand if you hate white people” to apparently make a point? And then another employee raised their hand as well. I frankly don’t care about the “hate white people” remark, but to be so unable to handle a situation with good customer service and resort to a temper tantrum in a workplace really proves the need to have a more experienced staff member on hand to supervise customer concerns. We ended up leaving without ordering, and I go here a lot, but after the way this customer was embarrassed and treated by a worker wearing pajama pants I’m not interested in giving my money...

This experience actually blew my mind. The entire ambiance was so calming and chill. I loved the light instrumental music, the set up of the booths, how efficient the process to order is. All water, utensils, napkins, etc are self serve. WHICH I LOVE
