El Alazan Mexican Restaurant ll — Restaurant in Florence

I do not understand the ratings behind this place. This place has the WORST Mexican food to date in the area. Plus, they are extremely dietary/allergy restrictions unfriendly.

Had to make some changes to the dish ordered due to allergies. They agree to these changes, but for some reason think it was okay to charge extra for “sides” that replaced the allergy portions, making my meal so much more expensive. $4 for 2 avocado slices is ridiculous.

Then when I thought it could not get worse, I find out they still missed my allergies and I proceeded to throw up in their bathroom. I payed over $40 for one dish that just made me throw up.

Customer service was horrible. Prices were terrible. Extremely unprofessional. Disgusting food.

Do not waste your time or money...

We ate here on 10/30/2021. When we got there, there was a table with 18-20 customers, and two booths one had 3 customers and the other one had 2 costumer's. There was only 2 wait staff. Both staff members were very friendly, happy, and attentive. Neither one lost their cool. And then there were more and more customers entering. Still everything was going good. The food is excellent, it has great taste,, it came out hot, correct. I got asada burrito (no rice in the burrito and no red sauce). No other Mexican restaurant in Canon or Florence gets it right. But they did. My husband got a combo with a Alazans burrito. My husband and I are 100% happy with the choice we made for out birthday dinner. Thank you very much...

I love this small business owner. We've known each other professionally since about 2016 via equine interactions down in Canon City. She is one of the kindest business owners I've ever met. I'm a veteran and been to a lot of places and poor bus8nesses. This gal is very humble. I hadn't seen her in years. I loved seeing her today providing excellent customer service and waitressing. The food was amazing, better than most Mexican restaurants in Pueblo, plus the customer service is superb. I ordered Chile Relleno....excellent!
