I rarely ever do this. But after spending nearly 9 dollars for breakfast that wasn't even edible, I feel OBLIGATED. I showed up 20 minutes after the place opened. How I was served chicken that tasted, and after disassembling it FELT hours old, i will never know. The outside of the piece of chicken was soggy, while somehow they had managed to make the middle of it so hard it was impossible to bite through or chew. Aside from the rock wrapped in a sponge you guys call chicken, the soupy grits, and the tasteless grease bombs also known as your hash rounds..at least the biscuit was almost enjoyable. Almost...but not quite considering everything in the bag.... Every item. Even the fork, straw, container everything..tasted and smelled like the cheapest gas station excuse for stripper perfume i have ever smelled in my life. I work in the food industry. I have for 16 years. I get that some of what I said may come off as funny...but make no mistake about it. I am dead serious when I say that this is absolutely unacceptable. If I didn't feel like I needed a shower after forcing down the 3 bites i managed, I would drive back up there to demand a refund. You get a one star simply because a zero star isn't an option. But on my scale, zero out of ten. I Will drive to one of the 15 locations in colbert county before coming back. You guys really need to get...
Read moreI'm a life-long Jack's fan & customer! I grew up in Homewood (a stone's throw from where the original location once stood) and was literally raised on Jack's biscuits and burgers. So I take no pleasure leaving a bad review but felt compelled to share that the customer service at Store #140, located at 899 Florence Blvd., (Florence, AL) has been in a noticeable state of decline for some time now. Long story short: Tuesday night at 6:30‐ ordered chicken fingers dinmer/combo at drive thru, was told to pull up and they'd bring it to car... waited almost 20 minutes (shame on me, right?!) and when I went back to the window the 5 team members collectively shrugged their shoulders and started pointing fingers at each other... Offered to (re)make my order, which they apparently gave to the wrong car. (No apology. No offer to comp anything or adjust the bill). Just quickly threw some food in a bag and practically shoved it out the window to me. Admittedly, I didn't check the bag. (Definitely should have!) Got home and the order was wrong! (wrong sides and short a chicken finger)... I love Jack's and will likely go back to any of the other gazillion Alabama locations, but this specific location (Store #140) just got its last dime from me. Posting this review in the hope management/corporate can address similar issues for...
Read moreI used to have a 4 star review up of this place, but today's experience is making me drop a star.
We got breakfast right before it was lunch time and while I understand they were probably trying to just use up whatever they had - these tater rounds are unacceptable. They were soaked in grease and basically just scrap bits stuck together. No receipt was handed to my mom and we got it to go so we just ate what we could of it after blotting the grease with paper towels. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit and my mom got a BLT. We both got the fatty chewy bacon on our food when it's normally crispy. My mom's BLT had a soggy tomato as well plus we both had to heat up our food (BEC & BLT) when we got to her house. While the food was edible, it was also disappointing.
I guess my advice would be to not go when it's close to switching to lunch. Their cheeseburgers are good and while the fries are bland - they'll do just fine with some ketchup, honey mustard, or whatever your sauce...
