Once again super unfortunate that this destination continues to have challenges. I truly feel bad for the owners. The staff closes earlier than scheduled every night and cars pile up with no-one to engage them or greet them. The money being left on the table, not to mention not upholding a promise to be open until the listed time. If the owner knows I can’t believe he or she would allow it to continue. I engaged a crew trainer tonight and he just straight faced said “we’re closed”. I stated that the website states 11pm?? He of course replied expressionless “we’re closed and then closed the drive-through window in my face” (20 minutes prior to 11pm). This has happened on numerous occasions. The mystery of the broken shake machine continues as well. It is never working after a certain time of the day. Great customer service today is a rare thing and this evenings experience is a prime example. Best of luck. I left my previous comment below for reference to experiences that continue to not improve.
I would give this McDonalds zero stars if the system would let me. Every time I visit it makes me question why I went back. The employees are less than pleasant the majority of the time with the exception of one new employee who is always smiling and has a very positive demeanor. I am grateful for her servant heart. The rest seem inconvenienced by me placing an order and rarely smile or are on their phones when you go through the drive through which is terrible even in this digital age. The majority of the time I get pulled forward and end up waiting large amounts of time 15-20 minutes in a drive through which of course is not fast food. You go to this chain for “fast food” when your on the go. You through this chains drive through for even “faster food”. Which is never the case. The majority of the time I wait sooo long after being pulled forward I end up having to go inside to get my food. The worst part is typically when I do, my food is all together sitting right there getting cold and the employees of course have forgotten about it until brought to their attention by me. I used to work at McDonalds 24 plus years ago, the apple has fallen far from the tree. To place a cherry on top of this Sunday, when I get my food most times it is either made incorrectly or I am most definitely missing an item in my bag and have to go back in once checking to confirm that all items are here. They will also often ask for my receipt as though they lost the order and need to remember what items they need to prepare. This makes me very sad because my children love McDs however based on experience, attitude, and attention to the customers needs I think we will go to Chica’ Fila and I will tell everyone I know to avoid this particular site due to the ongoing stream of issues. Read moreThe employees did not even so much as acknowledge the fact that I was standing at the register along with another gentleman. The workers looked directly me and the other man and could tell that we were both asking anyone that looked our way to please assist us. This went on for over ten minutes with me just standing there hungry as I could be and also in dire need to order and get going. I thought the other guy had already ordered, but when I looked over at him and asked if they had talked to him yet, he told me that he had been waiting on someone to take his order for over 30 minutes. To make things even worse, we were the only two customers in the entire store. This being completely unacceptable, we decided to raise our voices and call for their attention hoping to finally have one of the 4 employees that were currently standing less than 10 feet away. Instead of helping us, they simply all looked at us at the same exact time and then immediately smirked and looked away from us like we weren't there and then, in the most disrespectful manner imaginable, they proceeded to continue talking about how they were all going to get together later this evening and get drunk and smoke some weed that they had just bought from a friend of theirs that sold them the drugs through the drive thru window. Needless to say, the man and I were absolutely livid about the way that this McDonald's had treated us and we told them exactly how slack and vulgar they had been towards us, their customers, and they responded by telling us to get the fuc* out of "their" store because they were about to close up the restaurant and I still can't believe what they said next. Word for word, they said, "If you two white pieces of shi* had any sense at all, maybe you could take a damn hint and realize you're not welcome here." Who would want to even so much as consider setting foot anywhere near this sick joke of a restaurant. I definitely never will again and from what the other customer told me about how he was treated and made to feel, I'm all but certain that neither one of us will ever eat at any McDonald's so long as this terrible experience resonates in our minds. Read moreI did not have a very good experience at either one of the McDonald's in Florence. One of them we went through the drive thru and no one would respond to us or say anything so we walked inside and we had the same issue again. No one was working the front and none of the kiosks worked. No one asked us if we needed anything or took our order and the only time I saw any one walk up front for anything was to give someone an uber eats order and once they placed that bag in that person's hand, they ran straight to the back again. Never acknowledging the people waiting in the dining area (or in line). So, we left. At the other McDonald's, that we tried going to after that terrible experience a few miles away from the last place, once again, no one was at the cash register taking orders but at least the kiosks are working at this location.. Right? Wrong! It was 10:40 on Sunday so we made sure to Google what time McDonald's stops serving breakfast on the weekends. Google said 10:30 am during the week and 11:00 am on weekends. Perfect, we should be able to get breakfast. Even the kiosks let us order breakfast (so clearly Google was right, right?!....Not so fast) Next thing you know a manager is walking up front (finally) but only to let us know that THEY are not serving breakfast. So, now we have to get a refund. Awesome. Just great. So despite what Google says and the kiosks say... There's no breakfast after 10:30 am on weekends... I guess. Whatever. It was just terrible... No matter what McDonald's we went to there (in Florence SC). It was the worst experience I have had at a McDonald's (2 different McDonald's) in a while.
