My husband and I stopped in Outlaw Sushi Friday at lunch. The restaurant was very busy. We were told the wait would be 15 minutes. The fifteen minutes turned into 40 minutes or more. We didn't mind, and the hostesses communicated with us that it was taking longer than expected. By the time we were seated, we were on a strict time schedule because we had to pick our daughter up from school, so we decided to order something that would be quick and easy. My husband ordered the seaweed salad. I ordered the Sunomono. Both were delicious and refreshing. We decided to share the Shrimp Tempura roll. To our surprise, it was prepared with cream cheese instead of avocado as listed on the menu. It wasn't a big enough deal to complain or send it back, but my husband doesn't eat cheese of any sort, so it was definitely disappointing for him. I ate the Shrimp Tempura roll made with cream cheese, and although it wasn't what I ordered, it was good. It wasn't really a big enough roll to share anyway;)

It would have been nice to have a ramekin for soy sauce.

We are very understanding that the restaurant is new, had only been open for business less than a week, and the fact that they were totally slammed upon our arrival.

We will definitely be back soon when we aren't pressed for time. There's several great looking items on the menu that I can't wait to try. There is seating available inside as well as outside. A couple of large umbrellas to provide shade to the outside seating would be a...

"Owner" was our waiter. He said he had to fill in and let us know every time he came to the table he was the owner. This was a Friday night and they did not have half of appetizers available. We ordered kimchi pimento dip and panko fried okra. After 30 minutes they were finally brought to table and dinner order was taken. The dip was ok but the fried okra was really greasy. Dinner sushi rolls were brought out 45 minutes later. We had ordered 5 different rolls but only 3 were brought out on a single platter and no small individual plates offered. We asked about the 2 other rolls and the food runner just shook his head and left. "Owner" came to table later and said he didn't know why the missing 2 rolls weren't made. He said he put the order in and they just didn't make them but they were coming. 15 minutes later he returned and said kitchen was packing up and could not make anything tempura. This was at around 9:45 pm and they supposedly are open until midnight. We told him no thank you and bring the check. 15 minutes later he brought the check and said I'm making it right don't worry I took 20% off each item on the check. I asked him why the 2 items we ordered were still on the check and he just said "oh good catch" and laughed. Food was mediocre (2 of us never even got ours), service people were really strange, and there was a constant booming coming from either upstairs or next-door. Will...

Florence is lucky to have this place. Honestly, we are drowning in the typical fast-food chains and then when I saw Outlaw was opening, I was pumped. My wife and I visited for our anniversary and the atmosphere is very cool and ~2024. Good vibes, music, but the food was superb. First, the only reason I am giving 4 stars for service is because there were some kinks still being worked out it appeared with our waitress and the menu, although she was excellent as a person. The atmosphere was great inside, but we ate outside and were eventually swarmed by flies. Obviously beyond the control of Outlaw Sushi, but would recommend adding some fans mounted above the entrance pointed towards the outdoor dining area or have some fans inside of the dining area to help with this. As for the food - I ordered several sushi rolls and Erica ordered the Poki bowl. All excellent. I've had sushi in LA, Austin, Chicago, and all over and this is top of the class. I saw another reviewer mentioned "lack of flavor".. No. The fish used for this sushi is top of the line. Very clean and fresh. Yes, the sushi rolls are not covered in spicy mayo and drowned in soy sauce. We have Rice Box for that, but these rolls are high-quality and well crafted. Solid place...

What an interesting place. It is complicated to review.i had a number of dishes here, and the ones that hit were grand slams, but the ones that missed ranged from "meh" to "yuck" To start, I had: Ramen deviled eggs The Bourbon street roll Snap crackle pop roll Southern comfort roll Ivy green roll The Outlaw cocktail Sake tea mojito The deviled eggs were on point. It was pickled ramen eggs loaded with spices and sauce I think some people would find it less appetizing because of the large number of flavors, but I love that in a meal so would recommend. The Bourbon street roll: very flavorful with good sauce balance. The snow crab shone through. Snap crackle pop roll: loved the salmon and tuna on top, gave it a very nice flavor profile The ivy green roll: this one was meh. The flavor was weak, and despite the unique ingredients, was rather bland Southern comfort: with the fried chicken this isn't exactly "sushi", but it tasted great! Highly recommend The Outlaw cocktail: tasted like a sweet old fashioned. Very enjoyable. Sake Tea mojito: do not recommend. This tasted like watered down tea with a couple mint leaves thrown in. I couldn't even taste the Sake. All in all, a great place with some great hits and minor misses

We had such an amazing meal tonight! The food and drinks were extremely top notch and presented with flair! The service by Sarah M. was outstanding! A true professional that cares about her guests and elevates an already wonderful dining experience! We had the The Rice Krispy appetizer, which was a delicious start to the meal along with the Outlaw cocktails that were on point! We ordered the Timmy Roll, one of our all time favorites! Also tried the Crimson Wave roll for the first time and the combination of the heat and sweet was surprising and delightful! We ended with the Viva Las Vegas dessert that was so good I will probably dream about it tonight! Outlaw Sushi is by far the best sushi in Florence but also one of the best all around restaurants in the Shoals with so many different things to try! Do yourself a favor and go have an experience that you won't forget!
