Soul: Wingery and Records — Restaurant in Florence

This is a really great little place!! I didn’t know it existed until my boyfriend seen it on instagram. (It was one of those social medias) and I decided to try it out because first I love food! And they have these AMAZING fried green tomatoes!! Oh they were wonderful! I unfortunately didn’t get a picture of the menu for you guys yet. But I will next time. A bunch of people came in before we left so things were cramped. The tea here is the best I’ve ever had!! It was great! We got the fried green tomatoes, chicken covered fries and wings! Excellent service. Really nice lady at the front. Fast service! Very clean and welcoming! Enough parking in the front. If you gonna use maps to get here it will bring you the the BACK of the restaurant. So watch for that. I just drove around front. This is a gem of a spot! Tasty SOUL FOOD! There however is no air conditioning. But there’s a fan! The foods definitely worth dealing with the heat!! Great place! There’s even a game to play to pass the time on some tables. Food was super fast so didn’t need it. But I liked the thought. Also, you order up front at the counter where you just ask to see a menu. Handicapped accessible. I loved drinking from a mason jar! Just like at my great granny’s place as a kid! Felt like home. They do take out. Some people there were ordering for that....

Read the reviews and was excited about this place, so stopped in on a trip between Huntsville and Memphis. Arrived at 11:50am. It was about 20 mins before we put in our order because the woman ahead of us put in 10+ orders and paid for them each separately. Not the restaurant's fault, but we expected a wait. At 12:45pm, we were told 10 more mins. 20 mins later my wife checked and it was clear they had not started cooking our food. We had to leave to get back on the road, so we just now left at 1:10pm without any food even though we paid. Meanwhile people who ordered ahead kept walking in and out within minutes with their food. Calls kept coming in while we waited and they kept saying the orders would take 30 mins. I was in Florence for a work trip & was looking for a place to grab some dinner. I placed a call-in order, but the location was out of wings. The young lady was apologetic and suggested the boneless wings instead. She was so sweet and helpful! I’m usually not a fan of boneless wings, but these were so good! They were seasoned to perfection and very crispy. I also had a side salad and an order of fried green tomatoes. The sauce that came with the tomatoes is delicious and they have the creamiest ranch. The concept of wings and records is the absolute best! Lots of vinyl to peruse through. Inside is cozy with minimal seating, so go with just a couple people or order to go. Service was very friendly.
