Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Florence

Pull up to the drive through, opened my window and the area wreaked of rotten trash. Had to repeat my simple order of 5 tender meal with fries and biscuit, and a Fish Po Boy 4 times. FOUR TIMES. I knew I should have left right then, but I didn't. Was 2nd in line to the window and could over hear that they ran out of tarter sauce for my fish sandwich, so they were about to give my order to the car in front of me. So I get to the window, they tell me they're out of tarter sauce, not to mention they forgot to put Mardi Gras mustard in the bag like I asked. Took a good 10 mins of just sitting there waiting for the fish sandwich (I could see the chicken meal was ready). Finally they give me the food, and close the window. I had to wait another good 2 min for them to come back so I could PAY them. They threw open the window and said in a real bad attitude "did you pay?!?", sitting there with my window open, money in my hand in plain view.

I finally get home (which is not far away), fries were old and cold, chicken tenders were not like the ones I usually get from there, they were THIN, very dry and chewy, had no seasoning. It seems like this had been sitting out a while. The fish sandwich I was gonna save for the next day, but considering I couldn't bring myself to eat the chicken, I figure I'd try it. The lettuce was BROWN and old, and the fish tasted like garbage. I ended up throwing everything way, a good waste of $13.

I usually put up with their crappy service where they consistently get orders wrong, take forever, give you attitude, etc, just to have their good food, but when the food isn't even good anymore, what's the point?? I've been to Popeyes all around the country, and this is the only one that consistently messes up my orders. They seriously need some new management, I can only imagine the health violations that's going on...

We ordered Popeyes this evening for dinner at the Florence.Al location! What was ordered was a 3 piece chicken tender meal since they no longer have chicken livers, a chicken sandwich, and a 3 piece chicken meal. When my husband gets home there was only 1 chicken tender in the box, and fries that tasted like they had been cooked a half a day. Hubby was suppose to have fries with his, and no fries. So he called the store 3 times to get no answer, and then he calls Cooperate office. I finally get the manager on shift to answer the phone after I call another 4 times. The manager didn't even as much as say I'm sorry about your order. She just insisted that we drive 35 miles back up there to bring the food back to get a refund. Ok so what about our supper? $27.02 and didn't even get half the order. Then when I let her know my husband was on the phone with corporate office she said well they can deal with it, and hung the phone up. This manager should be fired ASAP! I can understand bringing the food back to get it REPLACED NOT JUST REFUNDED! THEN POSSIBLY SOMETHING BACK FOR GAS DUE TO THEIR SCREW UP! Unfortunately this Popeyes continues to suffer from the lasting effects of the pandemic but worse is that their chicken no longer taste like Popeyes Chicken is supposed to taste. I don't know if they are changing the recipe, grease, or adding something to it but the taste suffers. If they can't change this outcome I'll have to find Chicken elsewhere. (Aug 2022)

Popeyes currently is suffering the same fate as many others not being able to find sufficient help. Because of this I've had several times where I had to order through the drive window only to find they made mistakes with my order.

Also because of the help shortage you can hardly get someone to answer the telephone to take the complaint so you have to eat the error. One last drawback of insufficient help is unlike most other times did is not as freshly cooked and hot as other times. Hopefully this will get better in time but for now I can't say Popeyes is providing a level of service and accuracy as well as quality of taste usually expected with Popeyes and then there is no one to complain to when you do experience...
