The Loft and Pantry — Restaurant in Florence

I ordered a simple tomato basil soup and grilled cheese with sourdough and ham, what I received has absolutely solidified this small but mighty Restaurant in my mind forever. While there was a long line, it was well worth the wait. The soup was a perfect balance of creamy tomato goodness and a mixture of firm but not hard vegetables that bring some freshness and zest to the acidic and tangy tomato puree. When paired with a perfectly toasted and melty grilled cheese with a bit of rich Boar's Head Ham it is an all around amazing midday meal to enjoy on a day off or a shopping trip around the area. They are the best! I am disabled and have a hard time getting around so I decided to put DoorDash on my phone lol I couldn't figure out how to order what I wanted so I called them telling them how technologically challenged I am. They took my order and said they would make sure it was correct when it came in. I told them nevermind I would just drive over and get it, I only live a few blocks away. Then I couldn't find my truck keys so I called them back to cancel my order. When I told them what was going on they told me they would just bring it to me. They are truly the epitome of small town kindness 💖 Truly good people...

Highly recommend! We stopped by as a new place to eat. The first time I remember we had us and our 1 year old son. We ordered sandwiches and what we got was wayyy better than expected! We had potato salad on the side, broccoli and cheddar soup, and sandwiches. Everything was absolutely delicious! I can still taste the great food and even when they were under construction getting ready to introduce their ice creams and more it was still very clean, very quiet, and lovely place to eat. The owners were so kind. Thank you! We will be back to try new things and enjoy your delicious food! We just need to remember to stop by...
