Wow. A stressful breakfast for sure! There was a booth, a long table, and 4 bar seats open when we walked in, so not terribly busy. No one was waiting so we walked straight to the booth. No one greeted us. After several minutes of observing the 7 employees (Tina, Teresa, Mark, Jimmy, Tony and two other ladies), I was disturbed and felt bad for those working. Teresa was yelling and being disrespectful to all the others. I watched as all of their faces gave the impression of “here we go” as though this is a norm. If that’s the case, that may be why so many other reviews write about staffing issues. You don’t treat people that way. And the yelling! No thank you. It was too much, too loud, and disruptive. Orders can be made and turned in without all of that. Jimmy finally got the chance to come over and tend to us, just after Teresa had scolded him seemingly making him appear so defeated over not saying something the correct way. He was nice, no complaining and was trying to defend their business being that although they were not packed so to speak, many were ordering side orders or add ons. He took our order, got our drinks and then went to wait in line to “submit” our order. Odd practice and did not seem to be a very customer friendly or efficient process. Once our order was in, Jimmy came back to check on us and confirm our order was turned in, which I knew because we were sitting their watching them all and could hear everything they were saying…….the complaining, the degrading, the snide comments, the frustration. Teresa clearly is the one in charge, known by the comments from her “my grill” and “my customers”, along with being the one getting on to all the others. One other obvious incident was when 3 people walked in and sat at an open booth, Tina came over after several minutes and made them get up because she needed to wipe the table off. Those people then stood beside our booth as we ate, for at least 10-15 minutes, waiting for her to wipe off the table. Really? Yes. The food was okay except the bacon was of poor quality and mostly fat. The tables and seats were clean. The floor needs a deep clean scrub. I’d suggest the bathrooms need new hand dryers because they are old and barely serve the purpose. Overall, Jimmy was good and the food was decent. The environment was not...
Read moreMe and my father has been going to this exact location for a little over 2 weeks now every morning. There's one waitress there that I would absolutely choose over any other waitress, the cooks are good. 3 days ago we brought my mother along and it took the waitress long enough to bring out our drinks right before we got out food. The waitress that we had is always so rude and mean. Different cook that day, I ordered a Texas bacon cheesesteak melt no onion and the cook completely forgot to put bacon on the sandwich. I told the waitress and she brought me out bacon to put on my sandwich, not my job. It was already cold. So I asked for it to be re-maid, she goes tell the cook something completely different and brought me out a cheeseburger something I did not order so I asked for it to be taken off the check. She threw a fit about it and walked away for like 6 minutes, we payed and left. Came back the next morning to the same waitress and another non kind waitress. We sit down wait about 8 minutes while those waitresses stand and talk. I look over and see the guy waitress talking to the female waitress and pointing fingers at me and my father and stare at us and talking about us. I asked my father if he wanted to go to the other location but we did not. Male waitress was standing right there while I was talking to my dad telling him I'm not going to go somewhere and give my money where we are getting pointed, starred, and talked about just like that guy waitress did and he did not say a word but get a little rude with us. Never really had any issues at waffle house. If you go to this waffle house make sure you get the young lady as your waitress she's so...
Read moreDate of visit: 06/12/2024 Easily visible. Plenty of parking. Waffle house is an iconic legend. I have been to good ones and not so good ones. This one ranks at really between 3-4 stars. Upon entry about 11:40 pm only saw 2 employees (a second waitress appeared later). There were 2 customers sitting at the counter. At least one table needed to be cleared and cleaned. Our waitress Diamond, while sweet and determined, seemed a little scattered. She took our orders, gave a recommendation, forgot my coffee. The cook Tony seemed efficient and it sounded like he was trying to keep Diamond on track. The banter between the two was entertaining at least. Food: my over easy eggs were a little too over easy, the bacon flavor was off (it tasted more like cooking grease than bacon), the hashbrowns also had that strong cooking grease flavor, the waffle was okay (my waffle I made earlier in the day at the hotel was tastier and crisper). Also, my water glass was not clean. Cooking/kitchen area could have been a little cleaner. Floor swept, counter, waffle making area wiped down. I understand it is a kitchen and busy can create messes, but as a customer, I can see all that and wonder do they ever clean it? The bathroom was very clean and stocked. As we dined more people were coming in, and the second waitress appeared. I heard her taking the order at the next table, and she sounded like a seasoned veteran; efficient and knew her stuff. Overall I would maybe give this Waffle House another visit. I am taking into consideration the late hour, a staff of two as a majority...
