The Honey Baked Ham Company — Restaurant in Florence

We've had good experience with Honey Baked Ham in the past, but they totally dropped the ball for Thanksgiving 2024. On Nov 5 we ordered and paid for two whole turkeys for pickup on Nov 26. We received a confirmation email the day we ordered, and also two additional reminder emails on pickup day.

When my wife arrived at the designated time to pickup, they informed her that they had "oversold" and were unable to fulfill our order. To compensate, they provided pre-packaged sliced turkey and some gift cards, so at least we're not empty handed for the 16 people we're supposed to feed in two days, but it's frustrating that we didn't get what we ordered and there was no indication of any issues prior to pickup. If there was an issue, couldn't this have been communicated earlier to allow more time to make other arrangements? The reminder email 1 hour before pickup did not mention any issues.

While I appreciate the attempt to make things right, I'm not sure I would trust ordering from them again for holidays or...

Drove all the way from Bellevue ky. Called and asked if they had smoked turkey told me they had plenty. Told them I would be there Less than an hour, should I do an online in case they sell out. She said oh no just come on out. Came in they have no turkey at all she said they have no smoked or roasted in packages or bigger sizes. I said I should have done curbside pickup and paid online. Tried this place out for lunch today, got Ham Classic meal, potato salad was solid 4 out of 5, Ham sandwich was pretty good, it was on a croissant, everything on it and a mustard, it was simple, sweet and filling. Unfortunately they didn't have any soups, that was disappointing, if your gonna have sandwiches you gotta have soup! Price is good compared to neighboring restaurants. Definitely cheaper that Five Guys next door, and probably a healthier option anyways. All and all it was good. Would definitely stop by again sometime hopefully they bring back soups for...
